An odd Invitation

I woke up feeling sore to the bones. The cut on my leg also felt sore, making me feel sickly.

Memories of the previous day came in flashes and I shut my eyes like I could shut the horrible images out of my head.

Above all, I was thankful that Tiffany was rescued. Andro's false confession popped up in my head and I shivered. I still did not know how Santiago took it and what he did to me.

He came to my room last night and … and…

My stomach grumbled, interrupting my thoughts. I had not eaten since I had the breakfast that Darko packed for me the previous day. I was famished and my hunger surged up like a cat willing to eat an elephant.

I yawned earnestly wondering when breakfast would come. Perhaps I was grounded and starvation was the begining of my torture.

Just then, Milla and her maids walked in gracefully, bowing in greetings. I ignored them and got down from the bed. I felt rotten and didn't want to talk to anyone, so I remained mute and they worked on me in silence.
