Testing The Waters

"To what end do I owe this visit?" I asked as soon as we settled in the office.

Lorenzo didn't sit, he strolled around the office, staring at the whole setting.

"You have indeed improved the whole set up here… the last time I checked, the estate wasn't as sophisticated as it is now," he said as he studied one of the paintings on the wall.

"Why are you here? Do not tell me you are here to check the development of the estate," l said, reclining on my trestle chair.

"Why not? We are brothers, remember?" He smirked.

"… seeing the growth you've brought to the Castillo empire, I realised why that old gag gave it all to you… wouldn't it be a waste to take all of this from you?" He said, sounding soulless.

He brought up his hand to touch the painting that he had been admiring. My lips were seething as anger burned inside of me. The painting was my favourite. It cost about a few millions to get one.

Like he could read my mind, he began to squeeze the painting.
