Chapter 6 - Think about it

Nathaniel's POV

I could see discomfort written all over her face. When she asked me what I said again, I knew she was surprised hearing my condition for the contract.

When I was told about her and Aunt Elizabeth's constant requests for me to get married, I just wanted to do it so she would be happy and I would get what I wanted.

I followed her one day after work to see what her life was all about, and that was the day she nearly broke my chest. I had followed her from her place after work, I didn't want Davis or one of my men to do it.

I lost sight of the cab she entered when a truck passed by and some other cars covered the one she was in. That same night after she had walked out on me without apologizing, Davis told me when I got back home that Director Kim wanted to have a meeting with me concerning the contract.

I had previously declined their Ceo, Mr. Lucas the contract. I wanted to give it to a smaller company, not a well-known company, although I was advised against it.
