I open it. "Stephanie. Oh my God. You're back!" I look at Stephanie Burnham. She is a beautiful woman. She has gotten taller, and her hair is long. She has long black straight hair. I plaster a cheeky smirk on my face and walk into the office. “Long time no see, Adam Phlem. I have a proposal that would benefit both of us,” came rushing out of my mouth. I fixed my gaze on him and I’ll admit, he wasn’t bad looking. Okay he is smoking Hot. His ocean-Blue eyes stared at me with so much intensity, I was sure I would combust on the spot. “Stephanie, are you supposed to be dead?” He asked in a cold voice, laced with the tiniest bit of curiosity. Ahah!

My friends understood my reason and decided to follow in my footsteps by unapologetically insisting she does what we want. We were standing in the hall going through the colours with the event planner when Stephanie joined us. Avery and Linda were weary of her, but I had let the bad blood between us go. Avery was vindictive, and she wasn't over the name-calling yet, and I didn't blame her. Stephanie went too far. I hoped they reconcile. "So what are the three lunas doing?" Stephaine said with brilliant-looking eyes. I had never seen her this happy before. Her eyes shined brightly. Her secrets were killing her. I guess she wasn't burdened by them anymore.

She releases an exhale before saying, “When will I find my mate? Someone that would be my prince charming?" “Stephanie!” Peace hisses, “Do you know where you lie? Get up!” Immediately, Stephanie rises to her feet, like the bed has burned her. “Shit, shit,” she says on repeat as she hurriedly dresses the bed to perfection. Peace slaps a hand over her forehead and sighs heavily. She brings her wristwatch to her face and meets her sister’s eyes. “Our work here is done; we need to leave,” she tells Stephanie, who nods in response. I scowl.

Walking back to the bed where her partner was sleeping, she took a deep breath, mumbling sorry for what she would do. On the other hand, Stephanie was smiling from ear to ear after hearing an update from the person she manipulated to use against Hazel. It was a great news for her, knowing what could happen if her plan goes well. "Ah, when the odds are with you," she mumbled. "I'll be able to make that bitch and her partner suffer after making fun of me, then, Hazel will suffer as well and Caleb who rejected someone like me for several times will fall from where he is right now."

"This place smells delicious," she squealed as she entered the kitchen. "Hey, Stephanie, how are you?" I asked with a smile as I covered the pot. "I’m fine, girl, and you’re glowing," she teased. "Bryan proposed—we’re getting married," I blurted out. She looked shocked as if she’d seen a ghost.

Lena simply nodded in response, Stephanie's words sinking deeper into her consciousness. As Jayden's explanation replayed in Lena's mind, doubts and confusion swirled within her. Unbeknownst to her, Stephanie's scheming mind reveled in the success of her manipulation. "Oh, Jayden thanks for the opportunity to get my plan in order, I can't believe he conveniently labeled himself as a friend, hiding the fact that we were once lovers," Stephanie thought smugly, grateful for the chaos she had sown.

I had come to mend things, but it felt like I had only made them worse. With a heavy sigh, I turned and began walking back to my room, unsure of how to fix the growing rift between us. ___ Stephanie’s POV The evening air was cool and soothing as I strolled through the garden, taking in the quiet rustle of leaves and the faint scent of blooming flowers. The party preparations were well underway, and the buzz of activity in the house was almost suffocating. I needed a break. I moved deeper into the garden, finding solace among the tall hedges and vibrant rose bushes. Just as I was about to sit on one of the stone benches, my phone buzzed in my pocket. Pulling it out, I frowned at the sight of
