She then suddenly heard sounds. She got startled and alert hearing the squeezy noises. She scooted towards the wall. She couldn't see clearly what was hidden at the far corner. Darkness and fog had completely enveloped half of the area where the light wasn't passing through. She narrowed her eyes but still couldn't see beyond the fog and absolute darkness.

He was trying really hard but there were tears in his eyes. “I can go first. Watch my back.” He nodded and took a deep breath. I sided up the back of the building and quickly made my way to the edge. Pressing up against it, I keep my finger on the trigger as I peaked around the corner. There wasn’t anyone and the door was propped open ever so slightly. Just as I put my fist up, I opened my palm but Keenan was starting to move. Slamming my hand on his chest, I pushed him back against the building.

Sarah "It looks like we can only open this door from the inside. I think it is much better if we check it from there. Besides, the air here is getting damp, and it's hot as well." As they were to climb back up, Sarah noticed something in her peripheral vision. The thing sits there on the corner, though it is placed in a blindspot angle that you would not notice at all. But she was an ex-spaceship worker, so she knows it- every angle of it. A spaceship battery. Right at the very corner. She was stunned at what she was seeing. "Are you guys seeing what I am seeing?" They all look from where she is looking. "Is that a box?" They all went near it. And disappointment was seen on their faces.

If she could get there and hide. She turned the corner and paused, resting against the wooden frame of the building. Deep breaths heaved from her chest that burned from lack of air. Cautiously, she peeked to see if they’d noticed her. Indeed, they had and were still running after her, calling for her to stop. Clutching her cumbersome skirt, she scurried toward the end of the building and ducked behind the far corner. Another street opened before her, spectators gawked at the commotion she created.

I constantly look behind me and to the sides to make sure that no one is trailing me from behind. However, when I start to smell something rotting, I hold my nose and trudge forward because I can only guess what I might find around the next corner. I was right unfortunately and must step over the carnage I can only assume she has left behind for me. Too late do I turn around, before I get hit in the head and black out once again.

I walk a few steps on shaky legs, go to the bedroom door and turn the knob. There is a huge hallway outside, lit by sunlight, I look it up and down, squinting. I have lost my glasses somewhere. Am pleased to see that the corridor is deserted. I leave the room silently, walking on tiptoe. I sure look like a cartoon, I pout. I sharpen my hearing as I get to the end of the hall, sticking to the wall, i take a deep breath and peek around the corner. I observe another much wider corridor which is luckily also empty, I walk slowly sticking my back to the wall until I reach the next corner. After spying again I observe some huge stairs which descend to God knows where.

Someone could be lurking nearby, and any wrong move might give away her secret. Her eyes darted around, scanning for any sign of movement, anyone who might be observing her. She had to act like she was just another passerby, a blind woman who could not see what was right in front of her. She continued to tap her cane lightly against the tactile pavement as if searching for her path.

I noticed something in a dark corner, I tried to see what it was because that was where the breathing was coming from. “Are you even listening?” Marcus asked from behind me, and I screamed jumping back. “Don't sneak up on me like that” I scolded, holding my beating chest. “I did not, you were completely zoned out” Marcus responded with a concerned look on his face. “What's there?” I asked, walking towards the dark corner. “Don’t go too close, they can be really aggressive” “They?” I asked and there was a ferocious growl making me stumble backward and miss my step.

I can't believe my luck when they start to walk the other way. I wait behind the corner and when they are out of sight I take my chance. Turning the corner I rush as fast as I can to the door without making any sound. Reaching the door I slowly open it up and look outside, I don't see anyone, and I'm right about they don't guard the place right now. This is my chance! Getting out I soundlessly close the door and rush down the steps, finding some bushes to the right I dive behind them. My heart is about to beat out of my chest and I need to have a good look around the place.

She breathed in shallow, quick bursts. But suddenly, from the corner of her eye, she spotted something that made her blood run cold. A dark figure's corner vanished down the corridor.
