Chapter 44 *Scarlett's POV* As I sat in my home office, engrossed in my work, a notification popped up on my laptop screen. It was an email with a subject line that caught my attention: "Exciting Career Opportunity." My heart skipped a beat as I opened the email and read the details. It was an offer to work on a prestigious project in a different city—a chance to showcase my skills and advance my career. Mixed emotions surged through me as I considered the possibilities.
