He sat down beside me, exhaling. "Fine. Just don’t pepper spray yourself in the eyes again or try to attack me." A small smirk tugged at his lips as he took the bottle and drank from it. "Tell me everything," I demanded. "I have spies," he admitted. "Okay...?" I raised an eyebrow, waiting g for him to tell me more. He sighed. "Some of my spies monitor the lower ranks. They gather intel on all groups in the area, so I’m always one step ahead... Like today." His gaze found mine, more serious now.

The door by the side of the office opened, and a guy walked out wearing a sleek black suit. My heart stopped. Completely. My eyes widened. “Lex?” I whispered. Barely. Alex. My teammate. Wait.
