But there was a rustle of leaves behind them. My eyes twitched towards the treeline. Several wolves snarled behind them. Advanced slowly, snouts to the ground. I smiled at Eugene. Those weren’t our men. Those were Lover’s Quarrel wolves. Just in front of the pack stood a burly woman. Her hair was pulled back but clearly greying. Her skin was worn with wrinkles from years spent laughing. Her eyes went straight to Eugene. “I think someone might have different plans than you, Eugene.” Ozias mused, crossing his arms across his chest. The Alpha’s head turned around. He noticed the woman behind him. Noticed the wolves closing in. From behind us, our men caught up fully. Guns pointed at the Alpha.

The wolves lowered their heads… And prepared to attack.

Wren had groceries delivered, so the scent must belong to the person who delivered them. Suddenly, I hear vicious growling and aggressive noises coming from the den. The door is open. What I find in the den is nothing to what I expected to find when I got home. One, Wren is in fucking wolf form. Crimson is a beautiful red wolf. Two, the entire den has been shredded to pieces by a very pissed off Crimson.

Dean’s POV continued- The cells are usually kept pretty dark. Since the wolves have better night vision it’s not a problem for them, but when we turn the bright spot lights on it sure makes it a lot worse for them too. We keep the observation area dark so the rogue can’t see everyone in the room. I decided not to tell Alec and Zander because, well, I still wanted to have a little fun.
