And then Sandy steps forward—Aspen’s mate—and with a cold look in her eyes, she eats his heart straight from his chest.

“What do you see?” Vastria looked to Elcid then back to the scene before her. “You need to see for yourself.” She grabbed onto Elcid’s hand pouring her aura into Elcid to allow her the same vision. Elcid had to close her eyes and she shook her head, but once she opened them, she saw it. Six pups were on the vampire body tearing it to shreds. Vastria and Elcid could not see if the vampire were still alive but assumed the vampire must be dead. The pups were completely covered in blood. Flesh stuck to their teeth.
