She actually overhears the entire conversation, in which both agree not to tell her anything about their affair and that River will remain her mate while they continue to see each other in secret.

As Chaos observes this interaction, she feels as if a knife just cut through her already cold heart, but she decides not to make a fuss about what she just saw. Rather, she collects her thoughts and plans her vengeance silently. She goes back to her mother's house without saying a word of what just transpired. She discusses with her brothers and mother the plan she has in mind to get back at River for his affront. She's about to make his life a living hell!
