In 'Euphoria,' the popular series currently on air, Nate is potentially reexamining his identity as a straight man. At first glance,you couldn't tell him apart from any other heterosexual young man.

But as everyone who watches for more than five minutes knows, even watching a heterosexual party happily rolling along makes it hard to say whether he's into girls or boysTechnology is a hallmark of the series: it leaves many questions unanswered, and encourages viewers to think for themselves.

The character Nathan 'Nate' Jacobs in 'Euphoria' is indeed multi-faceted. There are many complex aspects to his character. Still, many fans envision that he may be gay or even possibly bisexual; the evidence is there in scenes where he shows a clear attraction for other males.

In addition, we get some clues about this aspect of his personality from speaking with others--particularly one character named Jules. Yet, he also appears to love his girl friend Maddy.

However, it should be noted that 'Euphoria' is quite adept at exploring the fluidity and complexity of human sexuality, so it's also possible some of Nate's attributes may have been designed in order to confound fixed labels.

However, when discussing 'Euphoria'and the character Nate in particular, it cuts a figure that may very well be one struggling to come to terms with its sexual orientation. His interactions with Jules' and other male characters sometimes intimate a form of attraction towards men.

Or maybe it shows that we must hand him more tools. A fellow citizen of the 21st century sits before our eyes: multi-racial, pansexual and pan-gendered.
