In Attack on Titan, the Rumbling is the term for the mass awakening of millions of Colossal Titans within the walls on Paradis Island. This is truly a magnificent sight as every one of these enormous men, who stands about 60 meters tall, stops good as he moves forward to wipe out all non-Eldian lives from off its face. This event's sheer scale represents a significant turning point in the series indeed: from all Karl Fritz's deterrent measures now practically a living nightmare for everything that passes near it.

When I re-read Hajime Isayama's work "Attack on Titan" over and over again, the catastrophe known more colloquially as 'The Rumbling' continues to strike me anew or differently each time. To put it in numbers that you can visualize: just inside the Wall enclosing Paradis Island lie tens of millions of Colossal Titans, each one as tall or taller than any building in our Cities. It's only when you understand this picture, though, people say with shivers running down their back. Indeed, all living things off of the island now tremble before these giants walking forward. The Rumbling, where the earth is turned up to show raw natural colours, is not just a critical plot point. It also becomes representative of how far the characters are prepared to go in this world where there are no longer any constants and everybody must fight for their own survival against others. You just can't tear your eyes from a show like this.
