Chapter ONE - The Welcoming Ceremony.

Daisy's POV"I choose Rosa Clair as my mate." I hear Dickson's voice echo loudly through the speakers. I stagger backward in shock as everyone roars in abrupt cheer. I cast a glance at Rosa, she flashes me an evil smirk as she makes her way towards the center of the crowd where Dickson, my boyfriend of four years stands with hands stretched towards her direction.I gulp a lump down my throat, my entire body becomes shaky and my breathing is hitched. Why Rosa? My own step sister? Why would Dickson choose her as his mate?I feel like a sword has been pierced right through my heart. My heart aches and my wolf howls in agony. Dickson and I have been dating for the past four years. Two years ago, He had to go for his alpha training as it is compulsory to prepare him for his title as an Alpha.Dickson finally returned today and it is his welcoming ceremony where he picks his mate, the one who will become his Luna. Chapter Two - Confession

Daisy's POV I lay on the bed as I watched Dickson sleep so quietly. I can not help but smile at how cute he looks while fast asleep. After lodging at a hotel, I had to move him back to my place around 5am in the morning because it felt awkward if I and Dickson slept together at a hotel. Dickson told me he needed more sleep and that we would talk once the day became bright. Clearly, he was still slightly tipsy from last night's drinking and needed more rest so I allowed him to sleep. The time is already 8am, courtesy to the clock hanging carelessly on the wall. I want to wake him up because I have a bad feeling that his new mate, Rosa might walk in on us but at the same time, I want Dickson to have enough rest.Even after everything he did for me last night, I still love Dickson and a part of me is holding out for him to return back to his senses. "It is creepy to watch people sleep." Dickson mumbles, his rough voice startling me. I gulp a lump down my throat and watch him slowly f

Chapter Three - Newfound Bride

Daisy's POV I stagger backward in shock at the chaos I have just caused. Everyone around us makes whispering noises and points fingers at me. The microphone slips from my sweaty palms and falls right to the floor making a loud thud noise.Suddenly, Luna rushes towards my direction with Rosa behind me, not to mention, Rosa is already dressed in her wedding gown. I can not help but admire how gorgeous she looks, I suddenly feel guilty for having to ruin her wedding, even though she ruined my relationship with Dickson."What did you just do?" Luna growls at me angrily. Her hands reach for the collar of my shirt and she lands her five fingers on my face. Iblink back the tears that threaten to fall from my eyes and I place my hand over my mouth to block the sobs that threaten to escape from my lips."How could you?" Rosa cries out, she falls on one of the empty seats and breaks down into tears. "You promised to keep it a secret from everyone. How could you do this to your own sister publ

Chapter Five - I have kids?

Dickson's POV Five years later."Mr Dickson, Daisy Reed is the top investor in this project. She has agreed to meet with us at a fancy restaurant across town." My heart races extremely fast at the mention of Daisy Reed, Daisy? As in my Daisy? The same lady I divorced five years ago? "Can I see a picture?" I ask my secretary hastily. She nods her head in agreement and taps a few buttons on her phone screen. She turns to me and hands me the phone. I stare at the screen in awe, a photo of Daisy smiling. My jaw drops at how beautiful she has gotten over the years. She looks like she is doing well, financially and emotionally. After Daisy and I could not bear a child. I had no choice but to divorce her, out of popular demand from the pack elders. Daisy was thrown out of the house and ever since, I never got to see her. I tried searching for Daisy but I never found her, it was like she did not want to be found, she just left without any traces. Seeing her again makes me feel emotional,

CHAPTER SIX - JUST BUSINESS

Vickson's POVHailey's eyes locked onto mine, filled with anger and something else I couldn't read. Her lips curled as she pulled her wrist free from my grip."You don't get to ask that question, Vickson," she said, her voice sharp and cold. "Not after what you did."I blinked, feeling her words like a slap."Hailey, I just need to know. Please," I pleaded. She let out a bitter laugh, folding her arms. "You *need* to know? Where was that energy when the pack elders tossed me out like trash? Where was this concern when you chose them over me?""I had no choice. You know how the elders are. They wanted an heir—""Don't," she snapped, cutting me off. "Don't you dare try to blame someone else for what you did. You divorced me. You threw me out of the house. I had nothing. No money. No support. Just... gone."She paused and looked away, her jaw clenched tightly.I swallowed hard. "I tried to find you. I swear, Hailey. I searched everywhere."She turned back to me slowly, her eyes narrowing

Chapter Seven: The Trap

Hailey's POV I slammed the door shut behind me, my chest rising and falling rapidly, still trying to calm the storm swirling within. The confrontation with Vickson had left a bitter taste in my mouth. How could he dare to follow my children? How could he try to drag himself into a life he willingly abandoned five years ago? He had no right. No right at all. Leaning against the wall, I closed my eyes. The silence of the house was calming. Upstairs, the kids were tucked into their beds, peacefully asleep and completely unaware of the chaos threatening to invade their world. That peace was sacred. And I would protect it with everything I had. With a heavy heart, I reached for my phone and dialed the one person I knew would pick up instantly. "Hailey? Everything okay?" Lyon's deep voice came through, soft with concern. "No. He’s back, Lyon. Vickson. He’s been following us. He saw the kids. He knows." There was a short pause before Lyon responded, his tone immediately shifting i

Chapter Eight: Secrets

Hailey’s POVI had no idea who dropped the photograph at my door, but it was a warning—a quiet threat wrapped in stillness. Someone had been watching. And not just watching me—watching my children.I spent the entire night pacing the floor of my penthouse apartment in downtown Crescent City, clutching the photo, replaying every moment from the last week. Had I missed something? Was there someone following us at the supermarket? At the cafe near their school? At the museum last Saturday?"You're spiraling again," Lyon said gently, leaning against the doorframe of my home office."Am I?" I snapped, spinning around. "Someone left a picture of my kids. Alone. In public. Do you know how dangerous that is?""Yes, I do. And that’s why I’m here."He stepped forward and took the photo from my hand."We need to call in someone," he said. "A security firm. Discreet. Tech-savvy.""No," I said. "No firms. No one else. The more people who know, the more vulnerable we are.""Then what do you want, H

CHAPTER NINE : THE EYES THAT WATCH

Hailey’s POVThe knock on the door came just as I was pouring hot cocoa for the kids. I froze, mug halfway tilted.Three short taps. A pause. Then two more. Not Lyon’s knock. Not the nanny’s.“Stay here,” I told the children quietly, handing the mug to the eldest. “Keep the door locked behind me.”I moved to the door, heart steady but alert. I cracked it open just slightly—and sighed in relief.“Mirah,” I breathed. She stepped inside, her coat drawn tight against the wind. “Sorry for dropping by unannounced,” she said, brushing snow from her shoulders.I shut the door behind her. “No, I’m glad you came. I didn’t want to call and risk someone tracing it.”Her eyes swept the room as if assessing safety. “Still staying off the grid?”“As much as I can.” I led her to the couch and lowered my voice. “They’ve been watching. It’s not just Vickson.”Mirah’s brows lifted. “You’re sure?”I nodded. “Photos. Unmarked envelopes. Someone followed the kids to the park last week.”Her mouth tightened

Chapter 10: Secrets

Ava’s POVMy fingers gripped the sheets tightly, the memories hitting me like a cold slap. It’s been years, but I still remember how it all started. I still remember how Elder Maxwell ruined my life—how he let Vickson slip away from me like he didn’t matter, like I didn’t matter.I loved Vickson. I wanted him. Everything I ever dreamed of in a man was in him—his thick muscles, his deep voice, the way his pink lips curved when he smirked. But Hailey... she got everything. She was always the golden child, the perfect one. It didn’t help that she was my step-sister. I hated her from the start, even when we were just kids. The pack would always fawn over her—her smile, her grace, her body that looked like it belonged to a goddess even before she turned eighteen. She wasn’t just pretty. She was captivating.I was older, stronger, and yet... she stole every spotlight. And soon, she stole Vickson too. That made her my rival. Not just in love, but in everything. But what Hailey didn’t know wa
