Chapter 31Sebastian ~•~As I drove away, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of unease. Zara was like a ticking time bomb, and I had no idea how I was going to handle her. I could only hope that she doesn’t end up doing anything reckless. I had to be careful because Zara was unpredictable, and I couldn’t risk her exposing me to Ivy. Chapter 33Ivy Chase ~•~As I talked about my $500,000, everywhere went silent. All of a sudden, the mother didn’t have anything to say anymore. She was just staring at Sebastian with a disappointed look on her face. “Talking about the $500,000 at this point is so insensitive.” His mother finally spoke after a few minutes of uncomfortable silence. “What?” I asked with an unbelievable scoff. “But it isn't insensitive for you to call me here and embarrass me because of the money I am spending on my wedding preparations?” His mother rolled her eyes. “I’m just trying to reason with you here.” She replied, her voice rising. “If you can just listen and return the necklace, everyone will be okay.” It was even surprising to me that I had been standing there for minutes, listening to her as she insulted me. And the fact that Sebastian had been quiet all this while was baffling. “Like I already said before, I’m not going to return the necklace.” I kept my tone as respectful as possible.

Chapter 35Sebastian ~•~Zara had been blowing up my phone with numerous phone calls and texts. I chose to ignore them because I was having a date with Ivy later in the day. I honestly didn’t have an answer to his question because I had no idea if I even slept with Parker or not. Yes, I woke up naked in a hotel room with him, but we never got the chance to talk about what happened. I felt too embarrassed to ask him about it even if it had crossed my mind several times.
