MarcusI refused to leave when Dr Case told me she was going home to rest before the next day's rounds. There was no way I was letting Bex be by herself. Her slow breathing and the faint beeping from her heart monitor lulled me to sleep. I was awakened by a hand going through my hair while my head rested on her leg. “Marc?” I shot up at the sound of her beautiful voice. “Bex baby, how do you feel? Do I need to call anyone, do you need anything?” I don't know what to do, where to go or how to make her feel better. I look at her, she's so beautiful even with the sores on her arm,neck and face. “I’m okay Marc, I promise I feel a lot better than before, I’m not in any pain. I actually want to get up and see Jenni. Is Dr Case around?” I’m terrified that she is going to ask Teddy to transfer more. I look at my watch and see that it is still night. “No baby, she left to rest before tomorrow. We should just wait for her tomorrow.” I just want to be there with her, just us holding each other.

MarcusMom and I are getting a few things together to start the preparations for the mating ceremony for Bex and me. I want to have our ceremony tonight, I don’t want to be away from Bex any more.
