CHAPTER 1: MUMMY HELP ME.

RAYA'S POV“It's not safe to wander around in the forest by this time; be back in less than two hours. I shouldn't have to find you!” Alpha Draco’s warning echoed in my mind, my mate's voice carrying its usual edge,I’d been cooped up in the mansion for so long—all I wanted was some relief. For this, I was headed to the north side of the pack land.“How do you like the tall trees and wildflowers?” I asked. Lason bounced excitedly and replied, “I think they’re pretty, mummy. But I don’t like the black statues following us.”I frowned, glancing around. “What statues? There’s none here.”“I’m sure I saw them, mummy.” My heart skipped a beat, but I brushed it off as his imagination. Still, a prickling sense of unease made me keep watch.I lifted him off the ground and planted a kiss on his cheek. “You have such a creative mind, baby.”“Thank you, Mummy.”It was past dusk as I sat at the small cave's entrance, the green vines tickling my skin. I often found myself here whenever I’d been ri

CHAPTER 2: BITTERSWEET

RAYA POVThe walk to my parents’ house was torturous. Still in my nightclothes, I endured the stares of other werewolves—some filled with pity, others with disdain. No one offered to help. Now, I stood before the grand doors of my childhood home. They loomed large, mocking me with memories of a family that hated me and always preferred my twin sister. I walked up the stairs and knocked. After a while, an indifferent-looking omega let me in and led me to the dining room. Faint chatter from within came to an abrupt halt as I entered. Their cheerful expressions twisted into disgust. My mother was the first to speak. “What are you doing here?” she demanded. I fidgeted nervously. “Draco threw me out, and I have nowhere to go. I was hoping I could stay here,” I explained hesitantly. Naya, my twin sister, giggled mockingly. “No, you can’t, Raya. A disgrace like you doesn’t belong in this family.” Her words, though expected, still stung deeply. I turned to my parents, pleading. “M

CHAPTER 3: A SECOND CHANCE?

RAYA'S POVEver since Draco rejected me, I’d done everything to win him back, that included serving him in bed despite the rejection. Those were the few times he showed compassion.Melissa quickly became my best friend. I was never alone with her by my side. She supported and cared for me in so many ways.“Hey girl, you seem to have zoned out,” Melissa said, smiling.“Sorry, I got caught up in my thoughts.”“No problem. Quick, dish out the food. We’ve got an Alpha to win over,” she wriggled her eyebrows and giggled.A smile tugged at my lips. “Thanks, Melissa. You're the best. I’m sure he won’t be able to resist this, especially with the potion you put in it.” I paused, frowning. “What exactly does the potion do again?”I grabbed the soup and left the kitchen, Melissa trailing behind. “It makes him a little love-struck and heals the bond. That way, he’ll accept you back,” she explained. We stopped outside Draco’s room. Melissa nudged me in with a reassuring smile. I took a deep breath

CHAPTER 4: IN A NEW BODY

HERA’S POV“Mom, what do you think?” The words felt foreign like swallowing broken glass—wrong and jagged, yet somehow necessary to keep up this charade,“Oh, my darling, you look beautiful tonight! I’m sure you’ll catch the eye of one of those Alphas. It’s high time you settled down,” she gestured with a wink.I forced a smile. Adjusting to this new body, its memories —and those tied to it—was still difficult. Before meeting Draco, I had stayed locked away, knowing almost nothing about the Silverfang pack.Melissa’s sudden entrance interrupted my thoughts. She looked innocent, but my hostile glances betrayed what I knew—she had murdered me and she was going to pay for it, but for now I was going to play the long game of winning Melissa's love, only to betray her at deathFixing my expression, I called out, “Hey, want to ride with me to the Crescent Ball?”Her surprise flickered briefly. “Thanks, I’d like that,” she said, smiling.I grabbed my purse, and we both turned to leave the ma

CHAPTER 5:A BALL AND A MATE

CALHOUN'S POV “Kill him,” I commanded coldly. A hybrid who dares to invade my land deserves no mercy. Hybrids—a mix of werewolf and human, often too arrogant to know their place—have always coveted purebred werewolf lands. “Please, spare my life, ple—” His cries were cut short as my beta’s claws tore through his throat, silencing him forever. “Deliver his head to their king,” I said curtly, adjusting my suit as I strode out of the dungeon, Logan trailing behind me. “We’ll be late by the time we arrive,” Logan remarked as we climbed the dimly lit staircase leading to the hallway. “What’s the saying again... hmm.” I paused, smirking. “Fashionably late is worth the wait,” Logan chuckled, finishing my thought. I grinned. The thought of seeing my brother, King Everon, at the Crescent Ball intrigued me. “It’s been too long since I visited the king. Time to rekindle old bonds.” “What are you plotting?” Logan asked his sharp gaze on me. “Does spending time with my brother need a re
