~Merina's POV ~I had a mild headache upon waking, but it wasn't anything to worry about. I awoke to the feeling of a hand gripping my waist. I was startled and jumped. I recalled all that happened between us the previous night. My face flushed. I was shocked to see that I'd shared my most vulnerable thoughts with him. This was something I didn't want to share with anyone or anybody. ~Adams Pov~I hit the phone on the table with a loud thud, making Merina jump. I rubbed my face, feeling a headache coming on. My mom was the one on the phone. My secretary announced to me that she was waiting for me downstairs and needed to see me. Of all days, she had to choose today to visit. I didn't want her to meet Merina.
