Noelle felt her body itch; she ran her hand all through her body and shook awake. For a moment she did not know where she was because it did not make sense to her at all. Her eyes fluttered open and suddenly she jumped to sit as the memories from yesterday flooded her mind immediately.She sat up and looked around; she had a blanket covering her shoulders down. She looked around the room; this was definitely not the room she had booked last night. She had spent the night in the same room with her boss. She stood up and folded the blanket before putting it on the bed. She had to leave as quickly as she could before he would come back to meet her still in there.She did not bother to look back at anything; instead, she walked to the door with her shoes in her hand. The door opened before her hand could reach for the doorknob. Cora showed up at the front door of her son's house. Micah had told her that he took out a loan to fund the wedding since Zara had insisted on luxury items even though she knew he could not afford them. Micah had thought that being with her was going to elevate his status so when he was taking out the loan, he did not really bother about the repercussions but now that it was all coming back, the bank wanted to take his mother's house since that was what he used as collateral for the loans. Cora had thought that Zara would be a foolish one, the kind they could ride and make her do whatever they wanted her to do but looking at how things turned out, she was sure that they would barely be able to make her do anything at all.
