Chapter 41

Athena Blackstone pov Getting bombarded with information, I rubbed my forehead, and Gavin asked me if I was alright. “Yeah, I am processing a lot of amazing stuff, but I don't understand how or why,” I mumbled softly and eyed Gideon, who had paused up ahead. Poking his broad back to get his attention, I crossed my arms, waiting for him to give me his attention. He glanced over at me and asked what. “Tell me why I'm suddenly inundated with all this information to fight and engage in battle,” I asserted, no longer fearful of the dreaded Moon Council assassin. Pinching his bottom lip he huffed and finally said, “I don't know. I was just asked to return the necklace to your neck. Nodding the assassin agreed. “The war wi

Athena Blackstone pov “May I hold her,” Styx asked Anton. “Wash your hands and face first; you might scare her with all that blood,” he replied sternly, making me cough on my held laughter. Nodding his head, Styx pointed to the inside of the house, and Gavin told him to go ahead and use the kitchen sink. “He is no more bloodier than you, Anton. You shouldn't be so cruel,” I commented as he held Remy. “Got to keep the old fart on his toes,” he smirked and I wagged my finger at him. “You know there's a possibility that neither of you is Remy’s mate,” I informed him so that if it became true it would be less of an issue. Anton eyed me strangely and snorted, “Bullshit, boss.” I tilted my head and shrugged as he lifted her to look at her tiny face. “She came straight up to me. Didn't you princess,” He said with a grin. I was gobsmacked at seeing her nodding her head. Side-eyeing Gavin, I asked him if he knew if they would be talking soon. Thinking about it he said
