Narrator-Joshua turned his face towards the office when he heard the Alpha's door open. Ben stepped out while placing his hat on, and he closed the door behind him. Ben walked towards the end of the hallway and nodded to Joshua while making his exit. Joshua nodded as well and waited for Ben to turn the corner, before he decided to head to the office.When Joshua walked inside the office, he wasn't the only one to find Asher a pacing mess. She sat on the edge of Asher's desk and watched on as the Alpha paced up and down, with a deep, anguished frown on his brow, while his hand ran through his dark hair every twenty seconds.The ghost frowned, and it only grew when she noticed Joshua close and lock the door. She didn't want to be here for the conversation which was about to occur, but as usual, whenever Asher became emotional, he thought of her, and being still attached to him and anchored at his heart, whenever he summoned her, she had to be there.Joshua l

Narrator- Joshua dropped Jamie's hand and stepped away from her without finishing his sentence. He turned his back on her, and walked towards the mouth of the cave, where he was sure Jamie wouldn't follow him. There, he stuffed his hands in his pockets, and looked out onto the forest, unsure of how to proceed. A few hundred feet away, inside the mansion, Miranda decided to head down to her kitchen to start preparing her dinner. The ghost did not make a reappearance since their argument that morning, and Miranda now truly feared that she was in fact alone. Unable to forget her worries, while going through her pantry for the necessary items needed for her meal, Miranda pulled out her phone and without thinking twice, dialed her mother's number. A fuming Carolynn's glare was finally removed from Ben and May, when her phone began to ring. She pulled out the device, and upon noticing the caller ID, she plopped the phone onto the table so the elderly couple could see who the caller was. M

Narrator- George stared at Carolynn with pupils darkened by disbelief and skepticism. "Well, aren't you going to invite me in?" She said, and her voice still had the same effect it did on him over two decades ago. George had to fight the urge to close his eyelids at the sensation of goosebumps developing along the line of his naturally cold spine. His pale fingers squeezed the door handle, forcing the metal to crunch beneath the vampire's intense strength. George avoided to breathe, just so his lungs wouldn't be violated by her scent, which he remembered to be as sweet as apples ripening in the fall. Carolynn cleared her throat when George's lenses stared at her for too long. The noise didn't snap George out of his daze, at least not in the way that she had hoped for. "What are you doing here Carolynn?" George asked the woman, who's light blonde hair had grown much since he last saw her. "I need a favor." Carolynn explained. "Cutting straight to the chase then?" George wondered.

Miranda- I turned my head towards the door when I heard a key insert into the lock, and it clicked out of place. I watched the handle turn, while I was still on my back with my hands folded on my stomach. Anise had disappeared from sight, and I gulped while waiting for whoever was on the other side of the door. When the door was pushed open, I noticed it was Joshua, and I couldn't help the relieved sigh that pushed past my nostrils at the sight of him. He smiled at my reaction, and I noticed he had a tray in his hands. "I can't tell if you're relieved to see me or the food." He said with a friendly smile. I smiled too. "Let's just say both." I admitted. I waited for him to place the tray down, then he walked back to me and lent me a hand. I grabbed his palm and as soon as my fingers closed around his hand, he hoisted me off the floor so swiftly, my face, neck and chest smacked into his torso. "Woah there."
