Chapter 1: Jason's POVThey seemed frozen. We watched silently, waiting for some movement, but there was nothing. The puny humans were too dumb to do anything with what they had found.I glanced at Fiona, the lady beside me—the only other person on this mission with me. The look lasted longer than it was supposed to, as my eyes settled on her cleavage that exposed half of her breasts, those beautiful tilts, full and soon to be mine, but hardly heaving. Clearly, she was holding her breath for more stealth.I looked away, back at our targets, once again considering the possibility that they were frozen by the snow. After all, humans generally needed our help to survive in this climate in the first place."Let's go," a man said suddenly.I tensed up a bit as I watched from above, hoping the crew would take the chest with them and leave us with no choice but to kill them altogether. That'd make things interesting. We had no weapons—only our hands, though they could become dangerous claws

Chapter 2Jason's POV I strolled into Frostwood territory, my home. The crate weighed heavily on my shoulder, contrasting with the lightheartedness lingering from my almost-date with Fiona. I shrouded it in mist to avoid drawing attention. I didn't want anyone staring. There was always something refreshing about Frostwood, a charm layered by the humans’ strange touches. I chuckled to myself—humans were so extravagant! With elaborate, multi-storeyed buildings, brightly painted doors, intricate carvings on their walls, and decorations meant to add “warmth” to the biting cold, it was ridiculous! It was impossible, but the werewolves had adapted, taking on the humans’ way of life bit by bit. Frostwood’s buildings were taller, and vainly decorated, far different from how it had been before and a testament to how deeply humans have influenced us. My own people had picked up their habits, woven human touches into our timeless traditions, until the line between our two worlds was nearly inv

Chapter 3: Author's POVImagine a world secluded on an icy plain, a realm carved from the frozen wilderness of the Arctic and bordered by an ocean. Somehow, plants and animals thrived, and magic did too. Werewolf packs emerged, but humans infiltrated as well. The initial migration into werewolf territory was once deemed a problem, and the killing of outsiders ensued. This bloodshed, however, stopped when the werewolves realized they needed the humans just as much as humans needed them. Human ingenuity in ideas for development became crucial to werewolf survival and evolution, and so did werewolf protection and control over the climate. Over the years, a fragile harmony was established—a delicate balance between the ordinary and the supernatural.A mist, birthed by the natural magic in the terrain, became an automatic mechanism for fragile minds to explain what they could not comprehend. Though not sentient, it obscured werewolf transformations and the werewolves’ more intense gatherin

**Chapter 4: Fiona's POV**"A Night to My Big Day,"As the sun rose over the Ashford's elegant estate, a sense of joyful anticipation filled the air. The smell of fresh flowers wafted through my room, mingling with the soft hum of excitement. The scent of freshly brewed alcohol and baking pastries filled the air, mingling with the sound of laughter and last-minute preparations.I stood by the walls of the estate which were lined floor-to-ceiling and beautifully decked for the upcoming celebration. The house was clearly busy, with people moving up and down. The atmosphere was alive with excitement as the estate buzzed with activities, cars pulling in and out, delivering flowers, decorations, and guests.I moved to the window side to catch a view when I heard a beep from my phone. I slowly drifted towards where the beep was coming from. I reached out for my phone, and my curiosity turned into confusion as I scrolled through messages from unknown numbers. The words blurred together, but

The warm sunlight cast a golden glow over the lush greenery, and the scent of freshly cut grass wafted through the air. But my heart was elsewhere, consumed by thoughts of Lena. Two weeks before our marriage, I met her – Lena. Her raven-black hair cascaded down her back like a waterfall of night, framing her heart-shaped face and piercing emerald eyes.
