CHAPTER 43 Rose stood at the center of a clearing. She spun in slow circles, trying to remember how she’d ended up there, or why. The trees around her were tall and thick, casting long shadows, illuminated by the full moon. Her breath hitched as she tried to make sense of it, but the more she tried, the more confused she became.
