AMELIAIt was not a very classy place, this bar. It was not a place I had expected a rich, spoiled girl like Emma to frequent. The furnishings were mostly cheap, but at least the place was clean. And not crowded. Right now I could not deal with crowds. "Go on," Alexander urged. I took a step past the door and kept going. A jukebox played quiet music in the background. I took my time, looking around, focusing on objects, especially stuff that looked like it had been around for a long time. I waited for the spark, for a flash of something. Anything. As the seconds ticked past, I realized this wasn't working.
