LANCE POV - “Go straight to the Heavenly hotel.” I ordered Conrad. “I want to see Celine.” I haven’t been to Chicago for a few days because of the amount of work I’ve been taking care of, add to that my father’s brother who doesn’t stop and won’t accept that someone has given the illegitimate child all the property, money, and most of all, the power on the underground world. CELINE POV - Silence fell between Lance and me again. I still couldn’t open my eyes to perceive his reaction. I don’t know what he can do to me the moment I open my eyes. FREYA POV - The entire weekend passed. Lance came here only once to get his clothes, then he left. He didn’t even last five minutes and to my surprise he confronted me, but only because he gave me the annulment papers a thousand times. I tore the annulment papers into small pieces, then threw them in the trash. Even if he gives me a thousand annulment papers, I will never sign it. CELINE POV - I’ve cleaned two rooms, and it’s just a few minutes before my lunch break, but Lance hasn’t called me yet. It seems best if Lance doesn’t summon me first so I can consider giving him the picture. It’s not even in my heart to give it to Lance, especially since it’s Starr’s only picture I have of her, and I haven’t told Tristan about this. In my situation–whenever I don’t know what to do, Tristan’s permission or what he says and suggestions clears my mind.
