~Hazel's POV~ I slowly caressed all my pockets where I hid the flower petals earlier after showing them to Scarlett and looked at Liam, who walked toward the small bar he had in his room. I didn't notice the bar until he walked towards it... When did he get a bar in his room? I get the room was giant, but last time when I was here... never mind. I don't want to think about the last time. He poured whisky into a glass and glanced at me from his shoulder, "Do you want some?" "No, I am good," I said. "I think you should have some... That's the only way you will tell me the truth," He voiced in a cold voice. Truth? What does he mean? Does he know anything? I hope not... "What do you mean?" I asked. He sat on the couch and tilted his head towards the space beside him, motioning me to sit. I sat on the couch, maintaining my distance from him, and prepared myself for all the questions that he was going to ask me. He came from a little chit-chat with his aunt

~Hazel's POV~ I thought handling the tingles in my hand and controlling the butterflies in my stomach due to the mate bond would be difficult for me to handle but I guess I was wrong... Again... Handling all the glares coming my way with so much hatred in the pack's all-pick-me-girls eyes was more than that. It looks like they just want to find me alone and snap my head off my body. But I guess I can still handle the disgust in their eyes for me as I know I won't be seeing them often around me but... Liam's aunt... I don't know how to identify what she has been thinking of me. Sometimes it looks like she is happy with me staying in the packhouse but sometimes I feel like she doesn't like me. Though she didn't say anything mean to me, I just feel like she believes the pack people more than Liam by looking at the way she has been ignoring me and giving me judgy death glances sometimes. But I hope that's just my overthinking. Liam held my hand and took me onto the stage wh

~Liam's POV~ "I still don't get how or I should say, what did you find attractive in her? She doesn't have good looks, figure, or fuck it all, even a wolf. What do you think makes her the best choice for an alpha like you or the best fit for this reputed pack?" Vic asked as she took her seat on the couch. I sighed; I knew I would be hearing so many things from everyone about this, but... "Vic, this was the last time you were insulting my wife for her beauty. Don't you dare go back on that track again, alright? She is my wife and the prettiest woman for me. I don't need validation from you or anyone else for my wife," I calmly said while trying to suppress the anger that she just triggered. I hate when people comment on her looks. I get they don't like her for whatever shitty thoughts they have about her in their heads, but that doesn't give them the right to disrespect her whenever or wherever they want. I don't care what people think about her, but not to lie, she is the

~Liam's POV~ I turned off the shower with a pile of thoughts lying in my mind and sighed while placing my hands on the wall in front of me. I tried my best to find what was wrong with Hazel and her wolf, but there was nothing in any book that could describe her situation. At least not in those books. I might need to dig up more into our historical books or... Maybe I need to talk to elders who have been on the earth for more than a century. "And you know Victoria's grandfather is the best person for this. He has been here for one hundred and sixteen years," Leo said. Yup, he is. And I am glad I am going to his place tonight. At least I would be able to know something from him about this. I walked out of the bathroom after wrapping a towel around my waist and saw Hazel sitting on the couch. "What happened on your first shift? I mean on your eighteenth birthday, " I asked. She jumped as my voice reached her ears and her phone dropped to her lap. Her eyes moved down my b

~Liam's POV~ Last night was a total waste. I thought I would get some answers but there were none... Except for Vic trying to get close to me, there was nothing else in the party. I couldn't even find out anything from Vic's grandfather as he was not in the pack. Guess the old man is busy on the island living his dead fantasies. "Yup, I can't imagine the old man is living a better life than us. An island... But at least you saved the night from being a disaster," Leo said in my mind. I blew a breath of relief as I parked my car in the garage and sighed; I am glad I did. The urge to get all freaky with Natalia, one of my exes, was so strong that I almost thought I would bring my image down in front of dozens of alpha and pack. I was close to having a boner when she glided her hand on my fitted black shirt and her hand reached my belt. If it wasn't for Hazel's face flashing in front of my eyes, I would have got a boner and every single friend of mine present in that room wou
