A New Proposition

Samuel had a restless night. He barely slept a wink the entire night; he was thinking of Ciara Summers. Not that Samuel had concluded that she was completely innocent; she still stole his car and disappeared, and she was still responsible for his mother’s death, an offense Samuel would never forgive her for. After Samuel was kicked out of the motel, he had lingered around for hours, but then again they had threatened to call the cops on him for trespassing. Samuel had intended to wait outside for Lottie to finish her shift and come out so that he could accost her, but he had been warned sternly. And Samuel was avoiding having anything to do with issues with the cops, so Samuel had left in defeat. But he had been more restless than he had ever been, and deep down, Samuel had blamed himself for not believing that Ciara was speaking the truth about lodging and spending the night in that hotel. And for Lottie to act that way when he confronted her, he knew that there was something fishy

The Villain This Time

Ciara’s bitterness and anger continued to grow as she watched them sleeping peacefully. How could they, or anyone at all sleep this soundly when Ciara’s world was crumbling to the ground? How could they be cuddled up in love when nothing worked in Ciara’s favor?Ciara knew that if she continued to be the victim, she would always lose. Her only dilemma was how to get two of them tied up so that she could carry out what she already planned in mind. Ciara suspected that Martin was not as weak as he displayed himself to be earlier, because the man she met in her hometown was nothing like what she was seeing now. Ciara thought of tying up Martin, because she felt that she could handle an untied Lori, but after thoughtful consideration, she realized that it was a terrible idea, because Lori had fooled her into thinking that she was friendly and innocent and harmless, so Ciara was not about to allow the fact that Lori was a woman fool her. Then if she tied up Lori, Martin might overpower he

Kill Them

Kingston got dressed in a pair of jean trousers and a T-shirt, and headed to the club that Samuel instructed him to go to. If he wanted to get the job done, he would have to look the part.Kingston felt uneasy and uncomfortable as he headed to the club. The last time he had been to a club had been more than five years ago, before he started to work for Samuel as a driver and a bodyguard. Ever since, he had forgotten what going to the club felt like, and he had also forgotten what being with a woman felt like. So Kingston began to rehearse what he would say and how he would say it when he eventually comes across the receptionist turned stripper. It was a good thing that when Samuel had confronted her with Ciara back then in Ciara’s hometown, Kingston had been waiting in the car, otherwise he would not have been able to pull it off. Kingston loved and adored Samuel Fury, and his loyalty to him ran deep. Of all the people that Kingston had ever encountered and worked for, none of them

Threatened But Unmoved

Ciara watched Lori after Martin left them to go and go and get petrol for Ciara’s car. Lori had a stubborn expression, as though her resolve could not be broken, but Ciara was more stubborn and determined than Lori could ever be.“What do you aim to gain from this?” Lori was the first to break the ice. “What you and your lover had hidden from me,” Ciara said, “But first of all, did you harm my child?” Ciara asked dreadfully, afraid of what the answer might be. Ciara feared that if she discovered that Lori had tampered with her baby, she would kill her with her bare hands. That was the only thing Ciara had to live for. Without the baby, Ciara was lost and nowhere to be found, because if she should be arrested now, she was certain that she would never get out.Lori scoffed, and then she began to laugh throatily. The laughter was as though Lori was intentionally mocking at Ciara. Ciara cocked the gun towards Lori threateningly, but she did not stop laughing. She laughed until her eyes we

The Kill

Kingston patiently waited for Lottie to return so that they could leave. He turned and looked around the club, and everyone seemed to be focused on why they were there. No one seemed to really care, and that made Kingston more at ease. His phone beeped, and when he checked the caller’s ID, it was his boss, Samuel Fury.Kingston looked around again to be sure that no one would eavesdrop on his conversation. When he saw that the coast was clear, Kingston cleared his throat and answered the call.“Boss,” Kingston said as he picked up the call.“How is it going?” Samuel’s voice boomed over the receiver. His sounded worried, tense and unhappy, making Kingston deeply worried for him.“Are you okay?” Kingston could not help himself but ask.“Kingston, how is it fucking going?” Samuel asked, upset. Kingston shifted in his position. It always broke his heart any time Samuel Fury refused or turned down his show of concern and affection. He cared deeply about Samuel Fury, because he was the bes

An International Chase

Kingston felt the bullet hit his right leg, and he groaned out in deep pain. The dead silence from Lottie made him suspect that she had been badly hit, maybe even dead. Kingston did not have the time to check who had shot at them, because right after he was hit, more bullets came flying. Fortunately, none of them hit him again as he doggedly went around the car and quickly got into the driver’s seat. Luckily for Kingston, Samuel Fury’s car was a bullet-proof car, so as long as he had been able to enter the car, he was somewhat relieved, because he knew that none of the flying bullets would hit him anymore. Kingston quickly glanced around, trying to see if he could catch sight of the person who was shooting at them, but he could not see anyone. He was also confused, perplexed and shocked that none of the club’s officials had heard the gunshots and come to their rescue. So Kingston turned on the ignition and proceeded to drive out, because the faster, the better. The fact that the car

Birds Of A Feather

Ciara watched Lori whom she had made to pass out by hitting her on the head with the big gun, and only then did she realize what she had done. She hadn’t meant to do that, but Lori had done nothing but infuriate her and test her patience. Ciara sat in the cabin room, close to Lori and waited. Lori was still breathing, which meant that she only passed out, so Ciara had no fear. The only regret she would have had would have been that she would not get any information from Lottie, but then again, she wasn’t even cooperative, so being awake was practically infuriating and useless to Ciara.Ciara waited and waited. It had been a while that Martin left, and he seemed to be taking too much time. She could not exactly recall the distance of the city to the woods, although she did remember that she had driven for such a long time before she arrived at the cabin, and also, she was certain that Martin would go in search of petrol on foot. It was getting to dawn, and Ciara needed to get all of

Get Away

Ciara hurried to the main cabin where she had been kept. It would not be described as a living room, because the features that usually adorned a living room were missing. The only parts of the cabin that could be tagged were the kitchen and their bedroom, because of what they had there. Before Ciara hurried out of the room, she quickly checked to be sure that Lori was still alive and breathing, and when she saw that Lori was, Ciara was a little relieved.Martin entered the cabin just as Ciara came out of their bedroom still holding the big gun. Her eyes met with Martin’s eyes, and Ciara tried to hold his gaze as good as possible, so that he would not suspect anything.“Did you get the petrol?” Ciara asked Martin.“Yes, I did,” Martin answered as he raised a medium-sized gallon of petrol. It was only then that Ciara even began to perceive the smell of it.“Good,” Ciara said.“Where is she?” Martin asked Ciara, then without waiting for an answer from Ciara, he began to call out loudly.

The Die Is Cast Now

Samuel paced and turned, breathing heavily and getting more upset by the second. He continued to glance at both the wristwatch and clock almost at the same time, checking the time.It had been almost an hour ago that he had spoken with Kingston, and he promised Samuel that he had already gotten Lottie, and that he would be bringing her to him in no time. That had been over an hour ago, and there were still no signs of Kingston yet! Samuel had even gone outside a couple of times in the last five minutes to be sure that Kingston had come, but still, nothing.“What the heck is wrong with him?” Kingston asked himself out loud. This was why Samuel hated to ask someone to do something. Most times, he preferred to carry out stuff like this himself, because by now, he would not be this restless and agitated. If only the club authorities had not thrown him out and warned him off their premises, he would have easily carried out this task himself. Samuel was even grateful that the club hadn’t p

The Visitor

Samuel looked at Kingston’s body on his living room floor, frozen in shock. For a moment, he thought Kingston had died. The blood coming out of him was so much that he could not tell the places Kingston was stabbed.“Quinton!” Samuel bellowed.Quinton, who had been shocked and dazed by what she saw from her hiding position rushed out, fazed. “Yes sir!” She responded dreadfully. When she arrived beside Samuel, she began to shiver.“Get Doctor Pedro on the line right now!” Samuel ordered.Quinton ran to where the landline was, grabbed it and dialed the hospital with shaky hands. “Hello, there is an emergency at the Fury’s main residence. Please send an ambulance immediately!” She yelled into the phone. She began to shake fearfully and dreadfully, as though she would pass out, and this time around, Samuel decided to ignore her. Something was fearfully wrong. The people who were against Ciara were obviously strong and callous people; Samuel knew even though he was yet to speak to Kingsto
