My instincts kick in and I shoot my arms out to prevent my face from slamming into the hard, solid pavement under me. A small scream escapes my lips as I brace for the pain but just before my palms can make contact with the ground, I feel something strong wrap around me, holding me in place.I open my eyes to see the pavement right in front of my face, but I’m no longer headed straight for it.
