CHAPTER 121: MY ALPHA, my sister, and me

GINA'S POV I stepped out of the bathroom, completely naked, water dripping onto the worn carpet. I tied up my hair in a white towel and my bare body with a plush, pink towel that lay on the bed. On top of the drawer across the room, I grabbed my pack of cigarettes and slipped one out. Lighting it, I sat down, took a long draw and watched the plumes dance in the air until they disappeared. Then I took a deep breath and exhaled. “Oh, f**k this! Feels good,” I mumbled, relief washing over me. It felt good to have a long, hot shower. I already had that prison stench imbued in my pores. Now it was all washed away down the drain. Ria thought it was best to stay in the tub, but I just needed to stand, and drench myself from head to toe, that's why I opted for the shower. “I've never felt so alive,” she said happily. “I know right?” “Why did your father pick this old motel for you to stay in?” I propped myself up in my seat and looked around. The neon lights above the ceiling

CHAPTER 122: The cut that always bleeds

GINA'S POV Confusion gnawed at their faces. Liam and Miss Kiara still hadn't gotten over the shock of my revelation, and now I was sauntering toward the door, asking them to follow me. They stood frozen, unable to process what was happening. I turned to them. “Corolla is about to burn down the estate,” I hollered. “She's my sister, and our father is Beta Bernard.” “Oh, nice way to dumb the info on them,” Ria said sarcastically. I shook my head, acknowledging her point. Perhaps I could have said it in a better way. “What?” Chris gasped. “Gina, what are you talking about?” Liam asked. An anxious laugh escaped Miss Kiara's lips, echoing in the stillness of the room. “She's insane, as they said.” “I'm not insane,” I retorted. “My father and Corolla are the ones who actually enchanted Alpha Van after they made me poison Reina so I could take her place.” “But why?” Chris asked. “Ever heard of a gemstone called the Moon Jade?” Miss Kiara's face was blank, but Liam's and Ch

CHAPTER 123: The hybrid

NARAH'S POV I batted my eyes until they opened to take in the view around me. The pain that had subdued my body earlier had completely disappeared, replaced by a sharper affliction around my neck and wrists. Silver cuffs clutched my neck, their metal links bound to a cage behind me, while the cuffs on my wrists were tied to the stone walls on each side. The metal was cold against my skin, biting and digging into my supple flesh. I had a limit to how far I could move. As discomforting as it was, I sensed dark magic flowing through the metals and dissipating into the cuffs. What's going on? I thought inwardly, panic creeping in on me like a haunted ghost. “It's cursed silver,” Minsi's voice cooed. Why wasn't she freaking out? We were literally shackled in a dingy room, and yet she spoke like someone enjoying a day on the beach, sipping margaritas or something. I recalled Ophelia being fettered by cursed silver. The pain I was currently experiencing was similar to the on

CHAPTER 124: BROKEN TRUST and the awakening

NARAH’S POV “Don't let his words get to you, Narah.” I didn't know what was happening to my body. I gritted my teeth, trying to contain the emotions swirling inside me. Was it truly Beta Bernard's words that provoked me, or the death of Anakiyus and Nas? It felt as if an eerie flow of energy was coursing through my veins, fuelling my rage. It was a feeling I had never felt before. My muscles jolted, and my breathing hitched as my eyes shone like sunlight. Beta Bernard stopped in front of me, his expression shifting to horror. The only sound in the room was my steady breaths, echoing, amplifying the tension growing between us. The silence in my head… it shouldn't be silent, I thought. “You have just awakened your witch side,” Minsi said, her voice trailing off. Impulsively, I yanked the cuffs from my wrists. The chains shattered. Beta Bernard's eyes bulged out, as though they were about to pop. Before he could react, I stretched my hand outward, my fingers curling arou

CHAPTER 125: A loss beyond words

ALPHA VAN'S POV On the drive to the Moonlight Pack, I had a strange feeling that I couldn't quite understand until Kacy called. I had been expecting a regular routine update, but her wailing on the other end of the line changed everything. “Van— Van—” Kacy stuttered. She said a few words, but they were muffled by her persistent sobs, and I couldn't make sense of what she was trying to tell me. “Kacy, what's going on? Are you alright?” She was still sobbing uncontrollably. “Kacy,” I called out louder, gripping onto the steering wheel, my knuckles white, as her cries sent my pulse racing. “Breathe. Slowly, just breathe.” She inhaled sharply and let out a gush of air, her voice shuddering. “That's good, you're doing great,” I commended. “Now, tell me what's going on?” “It's Liam,” she said. “He's dead.” “...” A part of me was jumping out of my skin, cowering in fear like a child afraid of the dark, while the other part tried to keep me grounded in whatever shitty

CHAPTER 126: The journey into the woods

LIORA'S POV While growing up, I had the upsetting thought that Anakiyus didn't love me. All I wanted was to please him. l was basically unaware that all of his tough facade was meant for me to grow up and become stronger.I thought I had been protecting him and the rogues, when in reality, Anakiyus had been protecting me. He was my family. Nas and I were like cat and mouse, but the senseless, constant chase between us made it fun. Some days, I admit I felt nothing but unadulterated loathing toward him. There were days, it was indifference, and on some, it was genuine love. He was like a brother to me.He was my family as well. I'd lost Keenan and was left with just Anakiyus and Nas. But now, I'd lost them too. I'd lost my family, whom I grew up with. What the f**k was I doing out here in these f**king woods when Corolla, that bitch, who killed them, was out there breathing?F**k!“Head count,” I heard Jeremiah's voice pull me from my ceaseless thoughts as he pointed to the prisoners

CHAPTER 127: The stranger

LIORA'S POV “I was on my way to the store to buy some groceries when I saw a car hit a homeless man in the street,” Rosa began. “It was Luna Tauriel. She didn't care about the man, and she drove past him like he was nothing. He was a human, after all, so he was weak and died. I followed her. When I confronted her, she didn't like it. Everyone was watching, and they rained insults on her. The police got involved and arrested her.” Rosa smirked, probably thinking of that day. Tears filled her eyes, but she continued, “On my way home, I was involved in an accident, and when I woke up, I found myself in a dark room. The smell of blood and screams of despair were all I could hear. I was tortured alongside three other people. For all those years, she kept us as prisoners and would occasionally come down to spit at us for ever having the audacity to challenge her.” “Hey, it's over now,” I whispered, reaching over to take her hand. “You're finally going home. Your family has been lookin

CHAPTER 128: The cost of love is betrayal

NARAH'S POV “You're mine.”“Am I?” “Yes, my love,” Alpha Van admitted. “Forever and always, you're mine.”The whole space was bright and white. There was nothing I could see, only whiteness stretching in every direction—endless, like our love.It was magical and pure, but then a scowl appeared on my face at the thought of a forever that might soon come to an end. So I asked, “When is this forever? You know forever does come to an end sometimes.”“Okay, how about eternity?” Alpha Van asked, pinning me to the white wall. “You're mine for eternity.”My breathing hitched as his chest pressed softly and firmly against mine, heaving with every breath we took. The touch of his hands on my skin erased all my thoughts and left my brain as blank as the space we were in. “Eternity sounds even better,” I said, my gaze flicking between his eyes and lips.“I'll love you for eternity,” he said. I stared blankly at him, my heart racing. Quietly, and in a swift motion, his hands moved from my wa

CHAPTER 129: The party

NARAH'S POV I felt a strong wave of dizziness wash over me, and my stomach churned with nausea that seemed to come with cramping that came out of nowhere. “Reina, I don't know how much longer we can go on like this before… Reina” “Please, Minsi, don't give up on me now,” I groaned. My skin was deathly pale, and my eyelids could barely lift. It was too much of an effort to even try. The air was rich with the scent of delicacies and a mixture of various colognes. It felt as if I was being pricked by a needle, and as if blood was rushing to my brain. I felt bad for having to put Minisi in this situation just when she finally came back. “I have to protect you at all cost,” she said, her voice coming in soft murmurs. “If we can get the dagger out, we can easily break free from these cuffs.” “But my hands are bound. How can I pull the dagger out?” How long had it been since Corolla drugged me? Just then, a beam of what felt like sunlight projected into my partly opened eyes

CHAPTER 130: The bleeding heart of the silver wolf

NARAH'S POV The music stopped at once, and the musicians ran haywire behind the curtains. The guests watched in horror as the intended sacrifice was released from the trap they had captured her in.Corolla's eyes were dark and her brows furrowed in anger and confusion. But before she could react, a deafening crash from the side of the building echoed through the walls.Gina, flanked by Zander and Isolde, strode into the hall, their eyes scanning the room until they settled on me and my rescuer—Alpha Van, my love.It was he who drew the blade out of my chest. He had managed to come from behind the stage just before Bryan even finished climbing up the stairs. Bryan approached, disbelief masking his features as he accessed us. My glowing eyes reverted to their ocean blue as they locked onto Alpha Van’s. How did he get here? Corolla had been expecting him, and here he was, without her knowledge, I presumed. Here he was— saving me.He scooped me into his strong, muscular arms and lowered
