I’ve been trying to reach Sly since I left the packhouse but haven’t received a response. “Deep breaths, Luna,” Rudy does his best to calm me as he drives through the street. “Relax.”“What if he’s in trouble?” Feeling faint, the sound of blood rushing through my ears is overwhelming as I struggle to regain control of my feelings.
