Chapter 21Ivy used her time to take in the breathtaking view from Alex's office. The expansive windows offered a view of the entire city, sparkling and alive beneath the late afternoon sun. Chapter 22Ivy laid her head on the soft pillows of the bed, but she couldn't sleep. She turned from side to side, feeling restless. After a few minutes, she felt the need to drink water. Deciding to quench it, she slipped out of bed and padded quietly to the kitchen. The house was eerily silent; it seemed everyone had already gone to bed. As she opened the fridge, her eyes landed on a half-full bottle of red wine. Instead of pouring a glass of water, she grabbed the bottle and took a huge swig.
