Running as she struggled to keep her shawl on her shoulders, a blond woman rushed through the hallways of the hospital. She was a pretty woman, but her hair was in a mess, and her rumpled clothes made her look haggard. As she ran, she trembled, the anxiety she was feeling evident all through her body.
