61. Scandalous

Brody was more than excited about work the next day. It felt like the first day of work in such a long time, though he did come to work on Friday for a couple of hours. But on Monday he expected a full day of work free of the confinement of his home. His day went perfectly without a hitch. Brody's assistant gave him the rundown of the meetings that he needed to catch up. His dad did come to oversee the work, but since Brody keeps up with his work emails he wasn't far behind. Hours flew by and it was time for him to end his first day of work. He and Callie had a reservation at their favorite restaurant to celebrate. So he went home happily and got ready for his dinner date with her. But when they arrived, they were surprised to see Sloan and Hendry at their favorite corner. "Hmm...are you guys stalking us?" Callie asked, looking amused at both Sloan and Hendry who were enjoying their drinks. They looked like they were waiting for their dinner and were pleasantly surprised to see them

62. Struggles

Callie had mostly been quiet since they got back from the restaurant. Her mind was busy thinking about Brody's mom's words. Yes, she did shame her, but not without reason, she thought. Her words made her recall their dinner date. Callie never kissed Hendry and Sloan in public on the lips. But there were always innocent little kisses here and there, and to public eyes, it may look friendly. Apparently not to Brody's mom's eyes. "Hey, Princess, stop that train of thought. I'm sorry about my mom's words. You know they didn't matter, right? Not to me. Not to us, the men who love you unconditionally." His words made her smile, though it didn't reach her eyes. Callie rested her hand on his chest as she rested her side on Brody's the moment he took her to sit on the living room sofa. "So, whose parents are we dropping the bomb first?" Callie's words had him dumbfounded that Brody needed a second to gather his next words. "Wait, so you agreed?" He asked, needing to reconfirm what he though

63. The Pregnancy

The morning started with Callie waking up, running to the bathroom, and puking. Brody was worried sick, trying to help her before Sloan calmly comforted her while Hendry took his best friend with him to the kitchen for much needed coffee. It was still dark outside, and Brody groaned seeing that it was still five o'clock in the morning. But then he remembered about Callie and was about to go back to check on her when she and Sloan walked towards the kitchen. "She'll be needing some tea and I need one of you to go to the twenty-four pharmacy and get a home pregnancy test pack." "A...test pack?" Brody sounded nervous which made Sloan roll his eyes. "You're going to be a great dad, Brody. But yeah, no need to get your hopes up. Just yet. Get the test pack first, okay? I've witnessed several of my sister's pregnancy scares. I was there both when she had positive and negative ones. Still, the quicker we know the less nervous Callie will be." Sloan explained as he took a cup for Callie's

64. Future mother-in-law

"Hendry, it's almost five, we still need to get our takeout. Also, Mom had been questioning me all morning and afternoon about our dinner. She's getting suspicious and I can't deal with Mom being suspicious. She's scary." Sloan rattled off from their bedroom, walking towards Hendry's home office. Sloan wanted to leave his fiance for working too damn long. He already insisted that they go separately but Hendry said that they'll pick up dinner together and told Sloan that they won't be late. "Hendry seriously, work is still going to be there in the morning. Wait...what are you, that's not work!" Sloan has eyes like an eagle. He knew what was on Hendry's desk and those brochures were not work-related. "Mhmm...no baby, now be a good boy and close your eyes. I'm working on a surprise honeymoon for my husband-to-be." Sloan had to bite his lip to stop himself from grinning like a Cheshire cat. He loved his fiance and he loved the little surprises that he gave. Sloan had never been in a re

65. Beloved parents

Callie was not sure that two days was enough preparation time for her to confront her parents. Though Sloan's mom had accepted their relationship and had made tremendous confidence in her and her men, it didn't change the fact that they were coming out to her parents. There was no easy way to put it but just to rip the band-aid. So there they were at Brody's place waiting for Callie to be done with her nausea. "Princess, it's okay if you want to postpone this," Brody was the first to say, as Callie expected. This was why she loved him. Even since she was young, she knew that Brody was special. But looking at Hendry and Sloan, she had found the rest of the puzzle pieces that fit just right in her heart. Her parents may not be happy about it, but for once she was going to go forward with what she wanted. "No, you're right. You've been right all along. You know how I have been following through with their demands. Growing up, I just thought it was what they expected of me. Dad worked s

66. Going Forward

"I thought they're not going to stay long?" Sloan asked, visibly worried though trying hard not to. "They're not supposed to, maybe things went great and they decided to stay longer. Callie and Brody hadn't texted, so we know there's nothing to worry about." Hendry tried to calm his lover, then pulled the app for their favorite restaurant. "Barney's?" "Only if I can get their triple chocolate cake," Sloan answered. "Deal." The man grinned, he didn't want his fiance to worry. So if chocolate cake can tampered his emotions then he'd bought two whole cakes just to make sure. Dinner was enjoyed in silence between Sloan and Hendry. The couple was clearly worried for their lovers and not until Brody and Callie arrived did they stop worrying. "Oh my god...what took you guys so long?" Sloan asked nervously. Hendry was at his side, putting his arm over his shoulder as they waited for their explanation. "Well, things went as well as they can be expected." Callie started vaguely while Sloa

67. Wedding Arrangement

The next day they were all meeting at Hendry's since Sloan needed to do the laundry. It doesn't matter that Hendry has maids since Sloan said his clothes always feel different when someone washed them. "Just go with it, Brody. You won't win this. He has special ways of washing and drying his clothes. It's one of his adorable quirks." Hendry explained with a chuckle. Sloan gave him the instant eye roll then walked away from his fiance. However, he didn't get far since Callie was right there pulling him into her snug embrace. When lunchtime arrived Sloan and Hendry were introduced to Oakley. Callie was hugging Brody's side and let their wedding planner sit before dropping the bomb on him. It was a good thing that they decided not to let Oakley know the real reason why they invited him along with the other couple. The wedding planner might think that Sloan and Hendry were being supportive of their friends or maybe they wanted to see how Oakley worked with Callie and Brody since the two

68. Siblings love

"Princess, you know you don't have to be nervous. You've met Molly and Sadie. They actually like you and trust me they've met some of the other women my mom set me up with and their reaction is not pretty." Hendry heard Brody explain as he rubbed her arm and kissed her bare shoulder. Callie was looking beautiful with her strapless over-the-knee slightly flowy dress. It was casual and still damn sexy that Hendry smirked when he saw that Brody wanted to pin her against the wall and push inside her until she screams his name. But they all knew they didn't have time for sex. Not until dinner with their siblings was done. "I know, maybe it's Sloan's nervousness that's rubbing off on me. I know his mom is kind and I know his sister would be too. And I've met Hendry's brother Harvey. So there's nothing I should be worrying about. Maybe I'm just worrying because Sloan is worried. God...I really can't stop talking can I?" She laughed nervously while she searched the whereabouts of their young

69. Shit show

When the next weekend came rolling, Brody faced the day with a smile on his face. This was because they all had decided to live at Brody's new home once previously named 'Love Shack' and now called home for the four of them. The big move hadn't happened yet since they were all busy with work and the wedding preparation. Then there was Callie's morning sickness. The main focus was they all moved in and brought their essential belongings with them. For the big move to happen they still needed to declutter their stuff since four people were going to stay in one house. They knew they didn't need more furniture. But then Callie threw the idea of starting fresh, and between Brody and Hendry, they certainly wanted that. "So I think I agree with Hendry, keeping his place and leaving his furniture behind is always a good idea. You never know when you're up working late and the drive is just too much." Sloan shrugged but then Brody laughed when Hendry smirked telling everyone that his place wo

70. Comfort food

Callie felt at home when Sloan's mom greeted them at her front door, although most of Livia's stuff was already in boxes. Her hug felt amazing and she couldn't feel any better when Livia dotted on her pregnancy. "Now that you have your future in front of you, I couldn't be more proud of you." Callie giggled when she heard Livia praise her only son. "Moooom," Sloan huffed as if he was annoyed, though Callie knew he loved his mom to the moon and back. Maybe it was the hormones but she couldn't help hoping that Brody's and Hendry's parents would change their mind about their sons. "Livia, come on take a seat, we want you to relax while Hendry and I set the table. Sloan, babe, take Callie with you." Brody ushered Callie to Sloan while Hendry moved to the front door to take their lunch from the delivery guy. Callie had seen Hendry ordering from the restaurant app back in the car. She thought it was sweet of their man to treat their future mother-in-law with a nice lunch while we sought h
