After speaking with Betty and Luke together, I just felt exhausted. There is so much I have been through recently, and I think it's finally catching up with me on an emotional level. I tried to excuse myself back to my room, but Luke insisted I come back to what's called the pack house. That's the primary home for the pack. Lila fell asleep quickly, silently crying as I ran my fingers through her hair, trying to soothe her but not wanting to make her uncomfortable.
