Author's POV Elaine had never been this nervous in her life as she paced in the living room. She was waiting for her husband, Cannon to reach home. It had been three months since they got married. Though Elaine was forced to take the place of her cousin sister for she ran away from the wedding, she did nothing but being a devoted wife to Cannon. Cannon did not reciprocate her efforts anyway and only kept using her as a pawn to get his revenge from the people who betrayed him. Elaine also let him use her.
