Seven months later!The bedroom was a slumbering giant, quiet and dark. The only source of light was soft moonlight reaching through the window. The shadow of Eva clung to the walls as she got up from the bed way too silently, preventing herself from making any noise that could wake her husband. She entered the kitchen. The only sound was a faint hum of the fridge as she tiptoed barefoot across the cool tiles. Every step felt like a secret, the wood beneath her feet creaking just enough to make her pause and to see if her husband had come around.But she can't blame herself for waking up in the middle of the night because of her pregnancy cravings. That craving hit her like a storm hours ago, a hunger so fierce it gnawed at her and tugged her out of bed.
