WITH A NOD, I looked away to gaze at the window on my side at the backseat. Callan was caressing the side of my head as I was leaning onto his shoulders. The drive towards the barracks as he called it was long. It took around three hours on the road, non-stop. It was a miracle that I kept my mouth together and prevented myself from asking questions.
