I couldn't stop looking at him as he walked towards his seat. Answering all round greetings as he sat, he greeted aunt Miriam, smiling brightly to her. A part of me craved his attention. I want to see those eyes looking at mine. I manage to comport myself as we start serving the table. He was discussing with Seth and the other guys as we served them food. He didn't spare me one look. A part of me felt bad but I convinced myself that they must be discussing something important. Maybe something about work. I shouldn't feel bad. We walked out of the room, heading back to the kitchen to clean it up. I volunteered as always to clean the kitchen and others retired. I cleaned and washed everything up, with the boss at the back of my mind.Minutes went by, i am done. I picked up Sky's breakfast and head out. Walking along the hallway, I see the boss coming out of his room. My heart fluttered. Something made me feel it's the perfect time to say hi. No not hi. Maybe good morning.
