Cristiano pulled up outside the mansion, turning off the ignition. He looked over to me, his hand taking mine which was rested on my knee. "There's going to be a lot of questions" he stated"I know. I don't blame them" I looked out of the window, it was quiet, and the lights coming from the house were dim. He smiled, before stepping out of the car. I followed him, closing the door behind me. "I can't wait to have a shower" I looked down at the blood which still covered me."we'll go there straight away" he picked up my hand from my side, before pulling me into the house."The wanderer returns" Angelo stood at the top of the stairs"Keep it quiet Angelo, we'll do greetings in the morning" Christiano sounded slightly annoyed, but he just smiled lightly..."I had them move her stuff" Angelo began down the steps, his eyes glued to his phone."what does he mean move my stuff?" I pulled my hand away, crossing my arms tightly. "I just had them put some of your clothes into my bedroom" Chr

I shot up as the loud banging continued. The door shook slightly, and I could hear someone impatiently shuffling outside."fùck it" he grunted, I heard the sound of a key in the lock, before Angelo walked in. "oh good morning... did I wake you?""no, because loud banging never wakes people up." I said sarcastically "what are you doing?""have you seen Christiano?" he walked over to the bathroom, checking it briefly before walking back out into the room"not since last night... I've been kind of sleeping..." He looked at me annoyed, before he sighed loudly. "how is it impossible to keep track of someone who is 6 foot 5 and weighs like 250 pound?" he pinched the bridge of his nose before sitting down in the arm chair in the corner."why are you looking for him?" "well he happens to be the mafia boss, and that tends to come with responsibilities such as attending meetings, signing deals..." he trailed off"yes I know that... but it's his problem if he doesn't run his group properly""w

"mi dispiace per la tua perdita" another old man said, before sitting down and continuing his conversation. "I hate funerals, my momma hadn't seen half of these people for 30 years, but they come here and pretend that they cared" he whispered clinically."they are just paying their respects" "I know that, but I'm pretty sure that man screwed my dad over once..." he scowled"stop complaining, and just... remember" he guided us over to two seats near the front of the room, sitting next to Angelo. "if I remember it makes me sad" he whispered, trying not to let Angelo hear him."it's okay to be sad" "It's not for me" he took my hand in his "when I'm sad I tend to get angrier" he squeezed my hand firmly, pulling it over and holding it on his lap. "I'm so glad your here" he smiled, before turning back to the front of the room. I looked around the room awkwardly, it was filled with a mixture of the men from the estate and old Italian men. My eyes caught a glimpse of bright blonde hair,

I closed the door behind me, watching as he paced the room, his hands rubbing his face harshly. I wanted to tell him to calm down, that everything would sort itself out... but I'd be lying. This was a mess. "I can't believe it" he stilled, his eyes locking onto me. "how is she not dead?" "she said something about the Russian mafia threatening both you and your mother" "that's not a legitimate reason to pretend to be dead for 5 years!" he threw his hands in the air, before locking them behind his head."I know..." "fùck!" he yelled, before he seemed to calm down slightly."do you want to talk about it?" I asked, hoping he didn't want to take out his anger on me... if you know what I mean"no. I'm done with talking. I need you" I scoffed, hoping he was just talking about a nice cuddle and ice-cream. He walked over to me quickly, slamming my back against the door. "I don't think this is a good solution" "it's the best solution" he looked down at me, his eyes growing black."I jus

"And then what happened?" Carly leaned towards me, her face full of excitement."I'm not telling you that" I looked away from her, feeling awkward. "come on! I'm in desperate need of girl talk!" "So ask me about makeup not my sèx life" This was one of those things she would never get out of me, it was too awkward to describe..."I have something to tell you... But I'm not sure how to say it or if you'll be mad" She straightened up, her face going serious."I'm not going to get mad" I reassured her. "remember how I told you about Angelo and me" she began breathing heavily, her hand clutching at her chest."are you having a panic attack?! big breaths!" "no I just... somethings wrong" she gripped the blanket over the sofa, panic over her face. "do you need me to call an ambulance?!" "yes! but get Angelo first" what? why did she want me to get Angelo? And then I realised..."are.... are you pregnant?" She looked up at me, pure terror in her eyes. "omg you are!" I ran across the r

Lies. The one thing that can cause any relationship to fall apart. They can ruin everything, and everyone... but we all lie, at some time or another... I lie... Christiano lied... What if I'm as bad as him?But what he really that bad? I don't know.I don't have the answer to anything... but I certainly wasn't going to get them by sitting around and bìtching all day. Yes he lied, but I'm going to do the one thing I can do... catch him out."hey can we go out today? it's such a nice day, let's go to the beach!" Christiano set his phone down, before looking at me confused."you don't seem like the beach type" he smirked"and you don't seem like the lying type" His face dropped, a scowl overcoming his smile."what are you talking about? I don't lie" his eyes burned into me, but he wasn't going to scare me off this time."really?" I sat forward, resting my elbows on the desk. "is there anything you need to tell me... something about tracking down a certain blonde ex girlfriend" He sat

ChristianoThat girl would be the death of me. We would argue then makeup... and boy was the makeup worth it. What I hadn't told her was my motivations behind finding Selene. Me and selene were not good for eachother. we lived life in the fast lane... she was a hook up which turned into more. We spent most the time drunk or drugged up, and I was so reckless... We almost got arrested a few times. She was toxic for me. She encouraged all the wrong parts of me, the parts I have long forgot. I was so much worse before, anyone who talked to me wrong was killed. I would steal and kidnap for fun and loved the feeling of inflicting pain. Don't get me wrong I'm no Saint, but my actions have reason now... They're to protect my mafia, my family or her... Vanessa. Selene was the opposite to Vanessa. Whilst both were outspoken, independent women, Selene was extremely manipulative, she would use her sexuality to manipulate me... she'd use it to score drugs... or for the fun knowing I'd kill the m

It was getting late, the sun was setting over the huge house. I'd spent all day lazing outside, attempting to gain any bit of tan I could. I'd thrown on an oversized tshirt and made my way to the large set of trees near the end of the garden. A comfortable swinging chair hung there, it was a perfect spot for reading. I sat down, pulling the blanket across myself, and opened my book. Christiano returned shortly after, I saw his car pulling up. He didn't come straight outside. I saw him in the kitchen drinking a few glasses of whisky before he went to change into his swim gear for a late night dip. He smiled at me before diving into the pool. I closed my book, placing it on the chair. Taking the blanket with me I walked to the pool, before sitting, dangling my feet in the warm water. He swam over, his arms encircling my legs as he kissed my knees. "how was it" I asked. He seemed out of it, he rested his chin on my knees. " she urm.. basically told me what you did..." "what's going t

Static echoed in my ears, before a surge of pain rushed through my body. My eyes shot open, the bright hospital lights blinding me. I tried to move but I was attached to multiple machines beside my bed. I couldn't hear anything, except my heart rapidly beating in my chest. A voice came into focus, they were shouting to someone... "Vanessa it's okay, your safe, your okay" the nurse soothed, rubbing her hand across my for head. She looked up, talking to someone who I couldn't see. They moved closer, their hand brushing against mine. I knew it was him, I could feel it. "why is she just looking up like that and not moving?" he askedThe nurse looked over to me, before shining a bright torch light in my eyes. But it didn't hurt me, nothing hurt. "she's just heavily sedated... she should come around in maybe 10 minutes. Why don't you come with me, and get a coffee?" she asked him, before moving out of my vision. I felt his hand moving away. I was alone. I felt submerged, like my whole
