MY SON

I stood there stunned, unable to process the doctor's words as Aspen took the paper from her hand. My eyes were glued to him as he read over the results, no hint of emotion on his face. "Thank you, doctor," he said dismissively. "You may begin prepping my son for the transfusion." My son. The words sent a shard of ice through my heart. "Wait just a minute," I said, finally finding my voice. "You can't just take him away from me. I'm his mother!" I exclaimed, my heart pounding so fast in my chest that I could barely breathe. Aspen turned his frosty gaze on me. "And now that I have been confirmed as his father, I have every right to take him. You kept this from me for three years. Be grateful I don't take legal action against you of do something worse,” Aspen uttered, his eyes narrowed and gaze kept on me. "Grateful?!" I cried. "How dare you! I was trying to protect him!" My clenched fists were trembling at my sides as I started at the man’s dangerously attractive face. This was e

A WAR HE WANTS

The sedan pulled through an imposing iron gate and proceeded up a long, winding driveway, lined with towering oak trees. I gazed out the window in awe as an enormous mansion came into view, made of stone and brick, with countless windows and a wide front courtyard. The house looked like something that was built centuries ago yet still stood, it gave me a bad feeling. It was like something out of a movie. The Vincenzo estate was clearly designed to intimidate and impress. I shuddered to think about what waited for me behind those walls. The mansion seemed to be cut off from the big city and of course it was surrounded by a thick forest with only one path for a car. The perfect place to end a life, I thought to myself in dread. The car glided to a stop at the front steps leading up to a set of grand double doors. Before I could react, the man was grabbing my arm again, ushering me out of the vehicle."This way," he murmured, guiding me along the side of the mansion. We passed we

HIS BLUE EYES

ASPENThe sound of the lock sliding into place gave me a sense of satisfaction. With Andrea secured, I could focus my attention where it belonged – on my son. I strode briskly through the pack house that has been in my family for centuries, towards the medical wing I had asked to be prepared for Cole’s arrival. Once I was sure the transfusion was a success and there were no complications, I was here to tell Andrea of my intentions. Yet as I walked, an uncomfortable feeling settled over me. I tried to brush it off, but Andrea’s devastated face lingered in my mind.Perhaps I had been overly harsh with her. But I quickly dismissed the thought. My actions were justified given how she had hidden my own child from me. To think I’d gone years thinking I would never have a child of my own yet she hid such a life changing truth from me? What was her reason? What did she stand to gain? No, any twinges of guilt were surely just vain attraction towards the woman. Andrea was cunning, manipu

HER LIPS

ASPEN I had met the Alpha, turned out he’d expected me to negotiate with him as he expressed his wants for expanding his own pack borders through mine. “I hear the Alphas are all turning against you, you will be weakened and I can be a good ally,” The weak looking alpha had said. I have a pack that contains over seven hundred wolves, he only had fifty. To think such a small dog could have the audacity to think he was powerful enough to be an ally to me. I knew something was going wrong somewhere, trouble was brewing and I was getting to the bottom of it. The audacity of that alpha demanding our land infuriated me. My pack controlled these borders for ages, and now this dumb little pup thinks he can challenge me? He’s gonna regret messing with me. Ben was just as pissed, he’d been pacing ever since we walked back into the pack house. “We can’t let this insult stand. Give the word and I’ll burn their pathetic little compound down,” he growled. A silver glint in his eyes as his wolf

WON'T BE LONG

The instant I saw my baby boy, I rushed over and scooped him into my arms. I hugged Cole tight, breathing in his sweet little scent. After months of seeing him so sick, it filled me with relief to see him looking stronger and as precious as ever. His wide blue eyes stared up at me and I damn well melted when I saw the recognition in them. Every fear, every bit of anger that had brewed inside of me for the past 2 weeks, none of it mattered in that moment as I held my son in my arms and heard his little coos. As I rocked Cole, I could feel Aspen’s intense stare on me. I glanced up. Damn, I’d forgotten just how freaking gorgeous he was. The man was model-level hot, even with that stern expression. Sharp cheekbones, chiseled jaw – and those glasses just took the appeal over the top. I stopped staring out of fear that he would notice the attraction in my eyes, one more thing he could use against me. No! I could not be attracted to this man, I wasn’t the same young woman I was three yea

VICTORIA

I sank down onto the plush bed in the guest roomursery Aspen had provided. It was more than I expected, it was a spacious room with painted with streaks of blue and gold, blue curtains, a queen sized bed and a crib right next to it. There was a bathroom that was almost the size of my apartment back in Queens and a walk in closet, it was empty, well, it was filled up with clothes for Cole. It brought a smile to my face when I saw all the cute clothes packed in there for Cole. Aspen had gone all out for him, contrary to what I had actually expected. I honestly thought he wouldn’t want a child birthed by an omega, I mean, he obviously hates me but yet… Luke had said something about his uncle being unable to have children and I wondered if it was something the bastard just said in the heat of the moment. Aspen was…not what I expected. My mind still reeling from our heated conversation. I wasn’t even sure if all the anger I felt was directed at him or towards my mind for wandering so m

PACK BREAKFAST

After washing up and getting Cole dressed for the day, I carried him in my arms and walked up to the door. Despite my hesitance, when I’d pushed down on the handle, the door opened and I let out a breath of relief. Sure I was still reeling from the rudeness of the woman that had come in, it almost felt like an imagination. Now I had to have breakfast with the pack members, who knew what they thought about me? Who would want an omega at a pack table? Something told me Aspen was doing this just to show how beneath him I was, I hated it and hated him for it. Still, I will never show my weakness to anyone. As I walked, I heard my muted footsteps against the hardwood floors of the expansive pack house as we made our way through the maze of corridors. Cole was restless in my arms, asking to be put down. He could walk on his own but last thing I wanted was for him to wander off in a place I knew nothing about, his bright blue eyes wide with curiosity as he took in all the unfamilia

IRREVERSIBLY BOUND

I kept my eyes downcast, concentrating on cutting Cole’s breakfast into bite-sized pieces as the weight of two dozen stares pressed down on me. Quiet murmurs rippled around the tables, wolves no doubt discussing the how foolish I was to keep the heir to the Vincenzo pack a secret for three years. “I hear the child belongs to Luke,” One of them said in a not so hushed tone. “I hear she two timed the both of them before going into hiding!” The other reply, sparing snide glances in my direction. The syrupy scent of resentment curdled the air – along with a healthy dash of curiosity. Not all the looks cast my way were hostile at least. Just most of them.“Oh give it a rest already!” Lily exclaimed loudly, slamming her palms on the tabletop with a thwack. I jumped, fumbling my fork before shooting the petite wolf an incredulous look. She paid me no mind, glaring around the hall imperiously. “Don’t y’all have something better to gossip about than Andrea? Honestly, the way you’re all o

CATCH UP

Aspen’s commanding presence filled the spacious library, those magnetic blue eyes boring into me from across the room. My lungs strained for air that wouldn’t quite fill them. Cole’s small hand fisted tighter in my skirt as he peered around my leg warily.I rested what I hoped was a soothing hand on my son’s baby-fine hair, struggling not to mirror his uncertainty. Seeing Aspen up close again still had such an effect on me that I couldn’t explain. Had he always been so imposingly broad-shouldered and tall? So devastatingly, heart-stoppingly handsome? I fisted my hands to hide their faint tremor. Get it together! It’s only been a fucking day! Oblivious to my inner turmoil, Aspen crossed his arms and regarded us coolly through those wire-framed glasses. “Come on Cole, aren’t you going to say hello to me?” He arched one thick brow in question. Cole took another step back and burrowed himself deeper behind me. Aspen’s jaw tightened. I bristled at his entitled tone. As if he had no

TO RESIST

We walked side by side down the spacious corridors in tense silence. The imposing manor really was a luxurious work of art, everything perfectly coordinated. A far cry from the simple apartment I’d been in Queens. Why did he ask to walk with me? We had absolutely nothing to talk about. The last conversation we had was an argument and quite frankly I figured the man would never want to speak to me again. Now we were here. “It suits you.” I cleared my suddenly dry throat. “The…interior, I mean. Elegant. Refined.” I said and then pursed my lips, looking away. Aspen spared me an assessing look, making my cheeks inexplicably warm. “Thanks. I lead a rather… solitary existence these days.” He paused, something shuttered passing behind those sharp eyes. “These were all designed by my sister though, Esther,” He said. A sister? There was more of them? Oh goddess. I frowned slightly, reading the loneliness between his words. Surprising after assuming a powerful respected Alpha wou
