Maddison P.O.V.I’m excited for us to get to know Lilliana and get some shopping done. We have not been out like this forever, if ever. I try to think back, but so much shit has happened since I met Liam, I can’t remember. As we are going into the mall, I grab Lilliana’s arm and walk with her in front of the guys. He shifts into Ash, defending me as well as he can, but Rick also shifts into his wolf and they are fighting each other with deadly precision. Maddison P.O.V.I wake because Liam is not by my side. I open one eye and look for him, but he is nowhere to be seen. I sit up, looking around our room, but it is dark and empty except for me. I don’t feel like he is in danger through the bond, or in distress either. Ember is calm as well. ‘Babe?’ I ask in a mindlink, but he doesn’t answer. I get out of bed and put on a robe.
