Godfrey’s pov.The queen’s chambers were dimly lit, the moonlight sneaking through the curtains, casting silvery patterns on the floor. I hesitated outside her door, my heart hammering. After all that had unfolded tonight, the last thing I wanted was to add to her burdens, but I had to see her.
