Chapter 51 You can't leave me

Daisy POV I balled my hand in a fist and ran out of the house, trying to hold up my tears. They were supposed to be my family. Families are meant to support each other, but they're only after what's mine. It was as if the moon goddess hated my existence as if I had committed a horrible sin in my past life that I needed to be punished for soon the rain started dropping in heavy torrents, without warning drenching me from head to toe. I had no umbrella, and I couldn't go back to my father's house. They'll only mock me, I rather let the rain beat than be mocked by them. I tripped on my shoe while trying to keep up to my pace, but before I could fall to the floor a strong arm held me from behind and an umbrella was covering the both of us. “Asher!” I called, the rain washing away my tears. When did his car stop and I didn't notice it? He carried me to his car, his guard holding the umbrella above our head. I hugged him tightly, my wet body pressing against him as if I was scared tha

Chapter 52 Bella

Daisy POV The heavy banging from my head woke me up from my sleep. I rolled to the other side of the bed, hands searching for Asher because I remember him sleeping next to me last night even though I was weak. I can't forget how he took care of me last night. I felt the emptiness of the bed when I searched around with closed eyes. “Asher.” Called sluggishly and when I didn't get any answers I snapped my eyes open and sat on the bed. I looked around me, still seated on the bed, but I didn't see any trace of him except for the faint scent of him. I stood up from the bed and walked around my room searching for him, but Asher was nowhere to be found. Typical Asher, he left again with no words, as if yesterday wasn't supposed to happen. Each time he gets closer to him, he always withdraws himself as if it was a taboo to do so. I paused on my track when I saw a written paper on a table and next to it was a steel cup. Drink this when you wake up, it will help keep you warm and strong. A

Chapter 53 Should I make your family pay?

Daisy POV I quickly finished the last line of documents that I was typing. Not that I have done much, but I felt weak after the news about Bella. I sent her to a far away place so she could have a better life and better experience in school that I couldn't get and most importantly to send her away from those toxic people called family, but I must have forgotten the fact that she needed someone to protect her. She needs a place called home and family. “I'm sorry for coming to work late.” I quickly apologized to Asher the moment I stepped into his office. He stopped what he was doing and raised his attention to me, his metallic eyes all over me, but this time there is a hint of affection on it. Asher stood up from where he was seated, and he walked over to me as I remained Frozen on the same spot, wondering what he's planning to do and how brutal my pin would be. “How are you feeling now?” Asher's warm hand came in contact with my body and I watched him examine my neck in perplexity,

Chapter 54 Mark her

Asher POV I was having a meeting like Daisy had stated earlier today. She was supposed to go with me but I wanted her to go home and rest after the stress that she has been through these few days. I paid her mother's hospital bills because I wanted her to be free from any worry and for the father I'm going to deal with him for all that he did to Daisy. I'm still holding back because she's still connected with her family and attacking him might have an effect on her but that doesn't mean I will watch him make her cry. Never! “Why don't you just tell her that you pay the bills.” My wolf asked me while seated in my car with the thought of her revolving around my head. “She will think I did it because I'm in love with her.” My wolf was silent for a while then his voice came again gentle and hypnotizing. “Don't you love?” I don't know if it was the way he asked this question or the fact that he made mention of me loving Daisy but I felt my heart somersaulted for a while, a feeling t

Chapter 55 We're getting married

Nichole POV My father has been worried sick since Asher came to threaten him again. No, it's not just a threat he's actually keeping up with everything he said. He promised to destroy my father and he has started doing so. He has forcefully taken his company from him, rendering him useless among other Alpha's, and what's remaining is to take the Alpha position from him. All for what? Because of a silly woman who isn't even his real daughter. I'm the real daughter of my father and I won't sit and do nothing. I will fight back and make sure I protect his position. “Where are you heading to Nichole?” My mother asked me after I dressed sexy and was descending from the stairs. "I have a business to run," I told her, tossing my hair over my shoulder with a flip of my head. With a sassy catwalk, I headed down the stairs. “You know your father is not on the good record of the Alpha King, you have to be careful out there.” She warned worry laced in her voice. I look into her worried eyes

Chapter 56

Asher POV "Speaking of marriage," Augustine said, taking my hand in his. "Nichole and I are getting married." Dead silence filled the room for over thirty minutes as Daisy and I stared at my uncle and Nichole as if they had gone crazy. This was a man that has left Arizona for over 10 years and he just came back today only to propose marriage to a girl he barely knows. “Uncle, are you sure about what you just said?” I broke the silence in the air when it was becoming too suffocating and uncomfortable. “Yes, I have been single for too long now and this lady here matches my test so I would love to marry her.” He said pulling Nichole closer. “Sir, did you know her well enough to really want to marry her?” Daisy politely asked hoping he would snap out of his delusion. "Yes," he said, his hand tightening around Nicole's hand as he pulled her closer. "Nicole here is very virtuous and a virgin, unlike the girls of today." “She told you she's a virgin?” Daisy asked with widened eyes to

Chapter 57 The price I must pay

Nichole POV“Nichole, are you sure you want to marry this man?” My mother asked me on the phone for the third time, worried laced in her voice. If only she knew my plan, she wouldn't be worried about me. She would be glad I'm doing this.I was going to marry Augustine to get closer to Asher and, once I was close enough, I would kill him and Daisy, taking the place of her in his life and the children's lives. They would never suspect me, and by the time they realized what I'd done, it would be too late. I would have everything I ever wanted, and Asher would never be able to escape my grasp. The children must be the reason he's with Daisy, showering her love as if she means a lot to him when their marriage is just a contract.“Mother, you don't have to worry,” I said. “I'm working on a plan to get Father out of trouble with the Alpha King. I'll make you proud, I promise.”“Daisy, please be careful…”“I have to go, Mom,” I whisper to her and cut the call when I notice Augustine's footste

Chapter 58

Daisy POV I was here in the afternoon when Asher called the kids and he promised to be here today. The way he spoke with them on the phone it seems he would have arrived here a few hours from the time he called. But now it's getting late and he isn't here yet, even the kids have gone to sleep after staying awake overnight hoping to see him before going to sleep. I sat in the parlor scrolling through my phone with my entire focus on it but my mind was divided thinking about Asher. “What is keeping him so late? He promised to be here today after being away for days.” I shouldn't be worried about him but I just can't help it. I heard Asher's car sound at the parking lot and I quickly rushed to check him through the window. Several shocks rushed through me with different thoughts clouding through my mind when Asher came out with a lady from the other side of his car. I try to hide my excitement for seeing him after he was gone for many days but I just can't help it as I find myself

Chapter 60 Rina

Daisy POVI took a taxi to work like I usually do, but this time with anger burning inside me and a deep-rooted hatred for Asher. This was a girl he barely knew. Fine, she was the girl who saved his life 15 years ago but now that she's back after such a long time so many things must have changed so she's a stranger to him, yet it seems like Asher honored her more than me.I have been taking a taxi to anywhere I go, but just yesterday that he brought her home he already gave her a car and even a driver. This is like a bruise to my ego, if my company is still functioning just like when I came back to Arizona I have enough money to hire a driver who will drive me around wherever I go.I ran all the way from outside to the elevator that took me to my office. I'm a few minutes late, and Asher doesn't joke with his time. Well, if I had my own driver and didn't have to wait for a taxi none of this would have happened, and I wouldn't have to come late.I dashed down the sidewalk, my heels cla
