FreyRun!I swirled my head to glimpse the creature that was after me, but it was nowhere in sight. The razor-sharp earth stones cursed my feet, and I raced through the densely packed forest, maneuvering through the tree branches and skilfully evading the thick brush that consisted of thorns, poison ivy and wild flowers. I didn't know how I made it here, but it felt so incongruous. Someone was after me and the only instinct that kicked in was survival, hence fleeing with my life. Flashes of a dagger and a book haunted and hunted my mind as uncanny images persisted in my brain. A line of blood ran down my nose.
