Jeremy pov: "I'm sorry, River," I said, my voice laced with concern. "You don't seem to be in the right state of mind. It's not a good idea to do this. You'll only regret it in the morning. Why don't you just go to sleep?" Her voice was shaky as she replied, "Jeremy, I really need it. I need to forget all this. Please, can you help me?" Her eyes were filled with desperation, and I knew that she was going through a lot but this wasn't right. "I don't think it's a good idea, River," I said, trying to reason with her. "If you do it, you'll only end up feeling worse." She opened her mouth to protest, but I silenced her with a stern look. "Listen, River," I continued. "I know I acted impulsively earlier and tried to have sex with you, but after hearing your story, I regretted it. Let's not do anything we'll regret in the morning."
