I was physically and certainly mentally exhausted when my head hit my pillow. I should have fallen straight to sleep, yet, like always, I couldn’t. This whole trip has been nothing but restless sleep. I wanted to be in my bed, house, and territory. I wanted to be where the sights, sounds, and smells were familiar again. I wanted to go home, now probably more than ever. I didn’t think this was how finding my mate would go. Beyond only expecting to find one mate, I hadn’t ever thought I’d be so annoyed at my mate and his utter lack of consideration and respect for me that I’d use my gift against him.
