Chapter 101

Chapter 101   Lyra's POV     I was alone in the lavishly decorated room, the subtle crackling of the fireplace providing a comforting atmosphere. As I rested on the massive bed, my thoughts drifted back to Moon Leash pack, especially Helena. She was going to be okay.  The door opened, and the doctor entered, a mix of professionalism and weariness evident on his face. He probably was bored of doing the same thing over and over again for years, he had grey hair all over his head and I could tell that he was someone important in the pack.   "Good evening, Lyra. I hope you're feeling comfortable." I nodded, offering a polite smile. "Yes, thank you. Is everything alright with the baby?" The doctor pulled up a chair, his expression becoming more serious. He pulled out his e

Chapter 102  Lyra's POV  “Fuck” I muttered, watching the doctor leave the room was supposed to make me fell slightly comfortable, or confident, but I felt the actual opposite.    The lingering tension in the room could be cut with a knife, and Alpha Caspian sighed audibly. I could feel his frustration with the doctor's actions, and I wondered how this unexpected turn of events would impact my stay in Shadow Crest.  Caspian looked towards the door the doctor had just walked out from, his gaze piercing through the air. The tension in the room seemed to subside slightly, and Caspian turned his attention to me. "I apologize for Doctor Finch's interpretation of your situation, Lyra. It doesn't reflect the true nature of our pack," he said, his voice a blend of authority and genuine concern.

Chapter 103   Alpha Gray's POV    Walking through the palace hallways, I felt a strange mix of emotions. My conversation just now with Helena had left me unsettled, and the news of Lyra's disappearance sounded to me like a well crafted lie, a plea for attention. But if she was truly gone, it was my fault.    And despite the fact that I wanted to act like I didn't care, I couldn't shake the guilt that coursed through my veins.  As I wandered through the corridors, the palace felt emptier than usual. The air seemed to carry whispers of the past, reminding me of moments shared with Lyra. I couldn't make sense of my own feelings – a blend of regret, confusion, and an unsettling realization that I might have lost her for good.    Entering my chamber

He didn't play around when it came to ensuring my safety, but the intensity of his protection left me questioning the nature of our relationship. Chapter 105

Chapter 105 Raven's POV  The palace corridors echoed with hushed whispers and sidelong glances. It had been four months since I announced my supposed pregnancy, yet my stomach showed no signs of the expected growth. The carefully constructed lie was starting to crumble, and with each passing day, the weight of deception pressed harder on my conscience. I stood alone in my chambers, gazing at my reflection in the ornate mirror. The reflection of a woman who had built a kingdom of lies, a realm of deceit. My hand rested on my flat stomach, a stark reminder of the emptiness within. A knock on the door disrupted my thoughts. "Come in," I called out, and the door creaked open to reveal Nadia, her eyes filled with concern. "Raven, we need to talk," Nadia said, her voice tinged with urgency. I motioned for her to sit, my eyes searching hers for any signs of jud

Chapter 106  Alpha Gray's POV   Every day, the palace felt emptier, haunted by the echoes of my memories of Lyra. My attempts to find her had been futile, and the guilt continued to follow and stare at me like a relentless shadow. Walking out of my chambers, I couldn't escape the feeling that Raven was hiding something. Her greetings felt forced, and a lingering tension enveloped the room. The pregnancy that had supposedly bound us together was barely visible. It seemed as though she wasn't even carrying a child, adding to the growing list of unanswered questions.  I understood that some women were like that , they could be pregnant and no one would know, but Raven's case was different, and I couldn't get myself to ask her any questions, the only thing on my mind now was Lyra.    I sighed, thinking

Chapter 107

Chapter 107 Alpha Caspian's POV I raised my hand, and my pack members transformed back into their human form. “What do you want, and why are you here?" I asked Alpha Gray, my tone measured. He walked closer, and I couldn't help but notice the frustration in his eyes. "How do you know me?" Alpha Gray questioned as he approached. I chuckled, walking backward, rubbing my hands together. "Alpha Gray, the leader of the Moon–leash Pack. News travels even between packs." Gray sighed, a mix of impatience and uncertainty on his face. He walked closer, lowering his voice. "I'm looking for a woman named Lyra." My laughter ceased abruptly. "Am I supposed to know about every missing person?" I retorted. "What do you take me for?"He sighed. And walked around. “ I asked a question, I didn't come here to assume what you are or what you

Chapter 108

Chapter 108   Lyra's POV   My lips brushed against his and he pulled away. “Shit.”... What a fool I was. I was annoyed with myself, I couldn't hold it together, and organize myself, maybe that was the reason why Alpha Gray could play me, maybe he thought I was too gullible, and now maybe Alpha Caspian would think the same.    I sighed, slightly embarrassed at my own forwardness. "I apologize if I overstepped, Alpha Caspian. I didn't mean to be so forward." He chuckled, a warm sound that eased the tension. "No need to apologize, Lyra. It's okay." I looked at him, seeking to understand the thoughts behind his eyes. "What did you want to tell me?" Alpha Caspian cleared his throat, a subtle sign of nervousness. "Last night, I was in the territory, and

Chapter 109

Chapter 109   Alpha Gray's POV   The night air enveloped me as I drove in silence through the winding woods. The echoes of my encounter with Alpha Caspian were still ringing within me. His denial of knowledge about Lyra left me frustrated, and the mystery surrounding her deepened. Luke, my beta, sat beside me, clearing his throat as if hesitating to speak. I glanced at him, urging him to voice whatever was on his mind. "If you have something to say, Luke, spit it out." Luke sighed, a mix of curiosity and concern in his eyes. "Alpha Gray, what's going on? Who is this Lyra you're searching for?" I tapped my fingers on the steering wheel, contemplating how much to reveal. "Lyra is... someone important. I need to find her." He raised an eyebrow. "Important in what way? Is she a threat?" "No,

Chapter 110   Alpha Gray's POV     She rolled her eyes and asked, “What do you want, Alpha Gray?” I sighed, urging her to calm down. "We need to talk." She sighed, "I have somewhere to be, Gray. I don't have time for idle chit-chat." I watched as she walked away, she wasn't going to listen to anything that I had to say.   I held her hand and said, "It's about Raven." She stopped and looked at me. Maybe she was going to change her mind.   “We can’t talk here.” she said quietly, she probably was.  I nodded and led her into a small room where we could speak privately. Helena crossed her arms, giving me an impatient look. "What's this about, Gray?"
