The next day came in the blink of an eye. Katherine took a shower and joined a pack members during breakfast. It was a challenging experience as she could not miss the fact some of them were looking at her with pity. Rumors spread across the pack with the speed of light. Not that her husband tried to save her some embarrassment. The omegas assigned to clean bedrooms had to notice he was not sleeping there anymore. Katherine also did not hide the fact. She was not in the wrong here; she did not need to feel ashamed. Luna acted as if nothing had happened and enjoyed her food. After the breakfast filled with an awkward silence, she returned to her room to get her suitcase. Last night, she covered everything with Rachel to ensure her friend would cover for her. Katherine went downstairs, and to her shock, her husband was waiting for her. In the past, that would be his usual behavior, but now Luna was surprised to see him here. - I just came to wish you a safe journey.- Sean grabbed he

Katherine was shocked by King's invitation. She quickly glanced at Greg, looking for his support, but Prince seemed as surprised as she was. - Don't worry; we do not bite.- Marcus joked to help her relax. - It is a great honor, but I do not want to be a burden. - Katherine replied politely. - We do not have visitors other than vampires. It would be refreshing to talk with someone like you. I am sure we could find a lot of common subjects to talk about.- Vampire King offered a soft smile to Luna. As Katherine could not think of any other excuses, she decided to accept the offer. She nodded her head.- Splendid! Greg will show you the room where you can rest. The dinner is around 8 o'clock. - Marcus said and returned to his desk. Greg came closer to Katherine, showing her way. Luna followed him absentmindedly. Soon, they reached the long hall with doors on both sides. Greg opened one of them, letting Katherine in—her stuff was already there. Luna looked at Greg suspiciously, but he

Katherine was raging. Still holding Xavier's neck, she threw him across the room, where he hit the wall and fell on the floor like a rag doll. He slowly moved to his knees, supporting himself with his hands. He looked at the woman in front of him with utter shock. Katherine was watching him, and her eyes were still glowing violet. She was panting heavily, trying to take her anger under control. The door to her room opened, and Greg entered.- What is happening here?- He asked Katherine, but then his sight landed on the man still kneeling on the floor. - What the hell are you doing here? - He asked his brother, who was trying to stand up. Xavier looked at him with hatred and tried to run away from the room. But he had no chance against Greg, who grabbed him and threw him back on the floor. - She attacked me! - That was a low blow, but Xavier was desperate. - Tell him what you tried to do, or I will.- Katherine threatened the young prince. Greg looked at her, noticing the color o

Katherine looked at the omegas, waiting for more explanation. It was evident that all of them were concerned. - Maybe she stayed with somebody? - Luna asked. - Lizzy would never do that. Every day after work, she goes straight home. - One of the omegas replied, bowing her head slightly. - What about the boyfriend or mate? - Luna was not giving up. Young girls are sometimes irresponsible. - She is too young to have a mate, and I don't think she has a boyfriend. Lizzie is an introvert and prefers to stay away from others. This girl is timid. - Another omega said, shaking her head. Katherine was out of ideas. She knew that girl as she had worked in a pack house for two years. Her coworkers were right, she was shy and clumsy occasionally, but she was a good girl, liked by everyone. - I will take care of this. I am sure she will be back soon. - Luna promised and left the kitchen. She didn't feel hungry anymore. Katherine went straight to her husband's office. He was an Alpha respons

Camille returned to the pack house after the ceremony. She was amused by all this fuss about someone's death, especially if that was just an omega, the lowest rank in the werewolf hierarchy. They were barely noticed when they lived, and now it looked like they had lost someone significant. The witch closed the door to her room and sat on her chair. The funeral was a form of entertainment for her, but now she focused on Katherine's speech. She had to admit that Luna had charisma and was respected by others. That thought bothered Camille. She planned to make Luna invisible to the others, letting them forget about her existence. For now, it worked only with one person, her husband. Alpha was entirely under her spell. Camille thought she would have more time to work him out, but it looked like she would have pushed her plans forward. Of course, he was already considering what she had implied to him: the rejection. The witch used every possible occasion to remind him there is only one wa
