Chapter 51Vanessa’s POV“You are late for dinner,” Aphrodite said as she adjusted my dress, I wondered why it was a necessity for me to always show up at the dinner table early.“I know as always, it's not like anything will happen if I decide not to go,” I said teasing Aphrodite, “As the lady of the house it is a must for you to eat dinner with your husband” she replied, she always has a reply for everything.“Okay fine, you win,” I said as I stood up from the chair and looked myself in the mirror one last time before leaving the room.“Uhm there is something I would like to tell you before you get to the dining room,” Aphrodite said as she followed me from behind.“Not now Aphrodite, I don't have time for gossip” I replied dismissing her gossip, anytime she says she has something to tell me it's always about the gossip in the kitchen and I don't care about it anymore. “Okay my lady,” she said, as we both made our way to the dining hall, when I got there Dante was already seated a

Chapter 52Vanessa’s POVI ran into my room and slammed the door shut angrily, I couldn't believe what had just happened, how could Dante do this to me, what have I ever done to deserve this? I knew he told me that he was in love with someone when I got here but I thought he had forgotten about her and he now had feelings for me, but that was me just being delusional. My mind raced with thoughts and emotions that threatened to consume me as I sat in front of the mirror. I couldn't help but compare myself to her, questioning why Dante had chosen her over me. It was like a constant loop of self-doubt and insecurity playing in my mind.I looked in the mirror, my eyes tracing every line and imperfection on my face. A wave of sadness washed over me as I wondered if I was not beautiful enough, not captivating enough to hold Dante's attention. I scrutinized my features, comparing them to Willow's, wondering why I was never enough, my first mate rejected me in an instant and my second mate wa

Chapter 53Vanessa’s POVAs I sat in the garden, surrounded by the vibrant colors and soothing scents of nature, my mind wandered to the drastic changes in my life. The once blissful moments shared with Dante had been overshadowed by the painful reality of him bringing his arrogant girlfriend to the palace. The gentle breeze brushed against my skin, offering a momentary respite from the turmoil within. I closed my eyes, allowing the fresh air to fill my lungs and clear my thoughts. The garden had always been my sanctuary, a place where I could find solace and gather my strength.Amid the blooming flowers and the soft rustling of leaves, a heaviness settled in my chest as I thought about the moment Dante yelled at me, he didn't even bother to ask what had happened, he just automatically assumed that I was the one at fault, not her. It was as if the ground had been pulled from beneath me, leaving me feeling lost and betrayed. How could he have moved on so quickly? Did our time together

Vanessa’s POV“Please my lady, Alpha Dante specifically told me to prepare you for dinner” Aphrodite pleaded after I told her that I wasn't going to come down for dinner, the last time I had dinner with Dante was the day he brought Willow to the house, I knew I wouldn't be able to stand their nonsense so I decided to stay away.“Why does he care if I come for dinner or not, his mistress is there to entertain him” I replied as I sat upright crossing my hands below my chest area.“He cares about you my lady, but he has been busy for the past few days,” Aphrodite said defending Dante, I don't know why she only finds the need to defend him even when she knows that he is wrong.“Busy with his mistress I guess, and Aphrodite you are supposed to be on my side, I am the one who is suffering here” I scolded her, I couldn't believe she was taking that man's side after what he did to me.“I am sorry my lady, please just come for dinner, please!” Aphrodite pleaded, but I wasn't buying it, Dante h

Vanessa’s POV“Dante” I moaned in his mouth, I wanted to pull away but I couldn't fight the burning desire surging through my body. The kiss was slow and gentle, his lips were so soft and I could feel the passion in them. His tongue came out of his mouth and he slid it into my mouth as we kissed, I was surprised by this but I didn't stop him.I was so confused, about why he was kissing me, I mean we were just arguing about his girlfriend, and this next he was smooching me while she was downstairs waiting for him. He pulled away from the kiss and looked at me with those deep cute eyes that can make a woman go nuts. "I'm sorry for what happened tonight, you didn't deserve that." He said to me calmly“You are?” I asked as tears rolled down my eyes, he was deceiving me again and I knew it but for the main time, I would like to think that his apology is genuine. “Yes,” he said as he put his hand on my cheek and wiped away the tears that were running down my face.He took off my shirt and

Vanessa’s POVI sat in the tranquil garden, my heart heavy with sorrow as I watched from afar Dante and Willow, lost in a world of their own, oblivious to the pain they were causing me. The gentle breeze whispered through the trees, but its soothing touch couldn't ease the ache in my chest. It's been almost two weeks since I last spoke to Dante, after he made love to me and left me in the room like it meant nothing to him, I had decided to avoid him at all cost. I spent most of my time in my room or the garden away from their nonsense but it seems like they are determined to rub it on my face today. As they laughed and embraced each other, I felt a wave of sadness wash over me, no matter how hard I tried not to feel I just couldn't help it. I am madly in love with this man and there is nothing I can do about it. Sometimes I couldn't help but wonder why her, and why not me. What was so special about Willow that made him choose her? Doubts gnawed at me, eroding my self-esteem.Every sto

Vanessa’s POVAs I slowly opened my eyes, the sterile scent of the hospital filled my senses. The bright fluorescent lights above cast an eerie glow on the plain white walls. Confusion washed over me as I tried to piece together what had happened. How did I end up here?My heart raced in my chest, and a surge of panic coursed through my veins. The beeping of the machines beside my bed only intensified my anxiety. I frantically looked around, searching for answers. The sight of the IV drip attached to my arm and the hospital gown I wore only deepened my bewilderment.I couldn't help but wonder what happened to me, the last thing I remember was running away from Drake and throwing up. So how did I end up here? Questions flooded my mind, each one more urgent than the last. The memories leading up to this moment were a blur, like fragments of a shattered mirror. I desperately tried to recall the events that led me here, but my mind drew a blank.

Vanessa’s POV“You are pregnant” the doctor's words kept ringing in my ears, as I sat on the bed looking all lost and sad. I am carrying a child inside of me, yet I am not excited about it because my husband doesn't care. “My lady!” Aphrodite called out jolting me out of my thoughts, “Are you alright, I have been calling you for a while now”“Yeah I am fine,” I replied trying to hide my emotion but it was clear that I wasn't fine.“Do you want me to call the doctor, you don't look fine” Aphrodite persisted, I know she was concerned about me but I can't tell her what was going on because she is very loyal to Alpha Dante. “No, I promise I am fine, I just need to rest a little bit,” I said calmly looking for a way to dismiss her without making her worry.“Okay, I will leave you to it then, if you need anything please let me know” Aphrodite replied and I nodded positively. I watched as she walked out of the door

As I sat in the bathtub, the warm water enveloping my body, my mind was consumed by a whirlwind of thoughts and emotions. The flickering candlelight cast dancing shadows on the walls, mirroring the uncertainty that clouded my heart.
