Chapter Seventy.

Aurora’s POV:As I sat in my hospital bed, watching the pack members as they trooped in to drop their gifts as well as catch a glimpse of my twin babies, I couldn’t help but grin from ear to ear. My heart felt full, and this time, it was a good type of full.I could see the bright smile on Klaus’ face while he greeted them. It was obvious that he was just as happy as I was. My smile however faltered for a brief second when I remembered Klaus’ initial agreement with me, the one I had been forced to sign when I newly informed him about my pregnancy. It hurt to think about it but then I wanted to get it over with. I patiently waited until we were the only people left in the room before I pointed it out to him.“About the agreement,” I said slowly, watching him as he gently played with the babies. His eyes shot up to meet mine and with a frown, he questioned me; “which of them?”“The only one we have.”I was almost irritated that he was now acting clueless when in truth, he had been the o

Chapter Seventy One.

Aurora’s POV:I was still shaken as I thought about the possibility of my father still being alive. But where was he?Just like the day I heard about his demise, my heart raced, but this time it was for a different reason. I couldn’t help but think about him… about everything. I was worried that he may be unsafe or in danger because why else would I feel like he was still alive but had no clue as to where he was?Was Emily in on this as well?As my body shook, I coughed loudly. The cough wracked my entire body so painfully, causing me to wheeze as I fought the urge to throw up. Just then a nurse ran into the room and when she saw me coughing, she immediately ran out only to come back inside seconds later with a water bottle. She shoved the water bottle in my hands and with a grateful nod, I gulped the entire contents of the bottle down in one swift swig and then wiped my mouth clean with the back of my hands. “Thank you,” I said, handing the now empty bottle back to her but she didn’

Chapter Seventy Two.

Aurora’s POV:The room was now quiet with only my sobs resounding around it. Both Danielle and the doctor had since left, leaving me with Klaus who stood watching me, with no expression on his face.I was mad, but at the same time, frustrated. After what seemed like an excruciating forty-five minutes, Klaus crouched beside me and wordlessly pulled me into a hug. I sighed against his chest, and even though I was still mad at him for not believing me, I let him hug me.It was true, I wouldn’t believe myself too if I were him because Savannah had been sleek enough to dispose of everything she had used to taunt me. A particular thought plagued my mind though, and after pondering over it for a while, I decided to ask him.“When you walked into the room earlier, where did you find me?”I saw Klaus frown as soon as I asked that. There was a look on his face, one that I couldn’t quite decipher. He carefully pulled away from me and muttered;“I found you on the bed.”“Are you sure?”“Of course

Chapter Seventy Three.

Aurora’s POV: The atmosphere was tense as I stared at Klaus’ outstretched hand in confusion. Right now, I couldn’t exactly say if I was excited at the prospect of getting married to my heartthrob or pissed. Pissed that it had to come to this.“What is this?” I said. My voice was nothing but a mere whisper. I couldn’t look at Klaus’ face for fear of what I might find there. I was hurt… and most of it was because of the clauses embedded in these documents. “Our prenup.” He responded.Something about the way he said those words filled me with a kind of rage that I couldn’t quite decipher. I tightened my hands into fists, nearly breaking the pen into two. “We never talked about a prenup,” I snapped, sounding somewhat angry. At the sound of my voice, he snapped his head upward to meet my gaze. In his eyes were several emotions, and I could swear I saw guilt dancing in those orbs before he quickly looked away.“We did,” he said simply.Again, I looked down at the paperwork and sighed. Kl

Chapter Seventy Four.

Aurora’s POV:As I stood in front of the mirror, gazing at my reflection, my heart felt heavy with mixed emotions. Today was the day I was supposed to get married to Klaus, to seal the deal with him in a wedding that felt more like a transaction than a celebration of love. I took a deep breath, trying to steady my nerves, and nodded at my stylist who looked way happier than I did about this union.“I’m done with your makeup now ma’am. Are you ready to wear the dress yet?” She asked me.Instead of responding, I wordlessly stood up to pick up the dress. The delicate fabric of the wedding gown brushed against my skin as I carefully slipped it on. It was a beautiful dress, no doubt, but it didn’t feel like me but then, maybe it was because I wasn’t the one who had picked it. Heck, I didn’t even see it until today. The intricate lace and sparkling embellishments seemed to mock the simplicity and authenticity I longed for but I didn’t complain, I couldn’t complain as it was already too la

Chapter Seventy Five.

Aurora’s POV:I know that recently my life’s been a rollercoaster but still, it didn’t prepare me for this shock. As I stood with my back to Klaus while I glared fiercely at Michael, I couldn’t help but wish that I never promised myself not to hurt anyone with my powers in the first place.Michael waved his gun around frantically as he barked at the priest and everyone present. I could see a variety of emotions running up Klaus’ face. Heck, he looked both worried, angry, and scared all at the same time.Suddenly I felt a gentle push and I looked up only to find Klaus staring intently down at me. He gently pushed me behind him, hiding me behind his huge frame while he pressed himself into the space between Michael and me.He growled; “Alpha Flynn, to what do we owe this visit?”When he said that, my eyes widened in shock. All the times that Michael represented as Alpha of Starlight Pack in official meetings, it was because his father was either on a trip or had decided not to come. Eve

Chapter Seventy Six.

Aurora’s POV:After the whole incident with Michael was taken care of by Klaus and his soldiers, our wedding ceremony continued and at the end of the day, Klaus and I returned to his pack as a couple.Upon arrival, I was surprised to see that most of his pack members were already waiting for us outside. They threw confetti at us and screamed excitedly as our cars trooped into the pack. The scenario made me so excited that I grinned from ear to ear.As if noticing my mood, Klaus leaned forward, pressed his mouth to my ear, and whispered; “You like it?”Sudden chills ran up my body from the feel of his lips against my skin. I shivered at his touch and squirmed,“Of course, I love it!” And then turning around to look at him, I continued; “Your people are so thoughtful!”“They are your people now,” He answered. His hands gently caressed my face and while he did so, I couldn’t help but feel a sudden swarm of eager butterflies in my stomach. I loved that he had wholly accepted me and want

Chapter Seventy Seven.

Klaus’ POV:I stepped into the throne room with Savannah following closely behind me. I had no idea why she was here even after I had called off our engagement several weeks ago but at the same time, I was curious… and we were supposed to be friends right? Right?“Why are you here?” I asked as soon as she walked into the room with me and shut the door behind herself. Her eyes narrowed into fierce slits as she glared at me and with her arms folded across her chest, she barked; “I demand an explanation!”“An explanation for what?”“An explanation as to why you dumped me weeks ago because according to you, you needed to ‘find yourself first’ only for you to be married to that trollop now!” She snarled. For a minute, I momentarily went deaf. I couldn’t hear anything past the fact that she had referred to Aurora as a ‘trollop’. The thought filled me with so much rage that for a moment, I thought about smacking her head hard against the wall until it cracked.I huffed and puffed, struggling

Chapter Seventy Eight.

Aurora’s POV:“Savannah… is she gone yet?” I asked Klaus as soon as he stepped into my room that evening. He sighed as he dropped into my bed, and with a regretful look on his face, he answered; “I guess so,”“So you are not sure?”“I’m not… she walked out on me after we had an argument.”“Oh…”For some strange reason, the sound of that didn’t sit right with me and I couldn’t help but remember how she had been with me these past few days. I could also remember the incident at the hospital. Now, I wasn’t sure that it had happened but still, it gave me chills whenever I thought about it.“See, I know that you feel very uncomfortable around her …” Klaus’ voice snapped me out of my train of thought. I stared at him for a while, contemplating whether to voice my fears to him or not. He seemed to understand the turmoil going on in my head because he slowly rose to his feet, walked over to me, and pulled me into a hug.“At the hospital that other time…” I trailed off when I felt Klaus stiffe

Chapter Seventy Nine.

Aurora’s POV:I laid with my back to the bed whilst reading one of the several books that had been sent to me this past week from ‘Gerald’. I wanted to know if the person was real, and most of all, I wanted to be sure that it was my father before I involved Klaus in it.The book I was currently reading was about a soldier who had gone to war only to go back home several months later to find his wife in the arms of another. The one before this was about a young lad who was an explorer. He was just as smart…if not more than Albert Einstein but had gone missing in a storm. Sadly, his mom never recovered from this.I tilted the book to the side and sighed; “none of this was making any sense.”Nothing in them could be linked to my father, and worse still, they were bland stories with no special meanings. My mom had long gone on a walk with my children, leaving me to myself, and so there was no one I could talk to at the moment. Out of boredom, I began to read through the book again, and th
