Larry Ford, the chairman of Ford Corporation, had lost his wife a few years after having a son. The Fords usually only had one child to avoid inheritance issues but Larry wanted to change that. Growing up, he had been so lonely without siblings. So he wanted to have more children but unfortunately, his wife died before he could have more. His hope was in Harry Ford, his son. However, he too died prematurely before he could have more kids, leaving Henry Ford as an only child. Larry still didn’t give up. He put all his hope in his grandson, however, Henry was involved in an accident and then he got paralysed for a while. The doctors he had hired thought Henry wouldn’t live long.
